Pingtan, Fuzhou!
Going back to Zhangzhou we decided to stopped by Pingtan Island. This island is very peaceful I supposed and I was interested in there houses most of all I just find it great thinking. I suppose it is windy in that island so residents put some stones on their roofs. I think it's fascinating they different houses exterior. I think their main source of income is fishing. I can see a lot of fishing boats and of course some seafood around. It's good to know that there is a place like that in China. It's also popular for it's rock forms it's similar to Bali I would say like there are some interesting rocks where you can the water in it and splashing all over. It is good to travel by car you can stop by anywhere you like. The weather wasn't good at that time though.

Venice of the east
Pingjianglu, known as the venice of the east is a popular tourist spot of Gusu district in Suzhou, Jiangsu province. This rich historical street has a number of alleys, a long canal, shops, and wells. When you will walk through some of the alleys, you will listen Pingtan, the Suzhou originated narrative music performs in Suzhou dialect. It will make you feel nostalgic. Every time I come here, I have the same feelings. Usually, during weekends this place is crowded with many tourists. You can visit here at any weekday if you don't like crowd. And don't think about holidays! You will even feel the breathing of others over your neck😂

Huizhou Pingtan Airport-AVOID it by any cost
It was my first and probably last time flying out from Huizhou Pingtan Airport. I must say that I was very much intrigued before I got onboard.
So, the airport terminal is looking very interesting and relatively new as it was reopened for civilian use in 2015.
Staff - really kind, caring and helpful tho non of them was actually speaking English, I think that it’s pretty normal as it is a small airport serving only domestic flights. moreover some of them were trying to speak English before realizing that I can speak some Chinese. Altogether I was very satisfied by the terminal staff and the service.
- Special thanks to the young lady working at the check in desk.
Now you might think then what is the title about?
Well, as the airport is a dual-use military and civilian, since 2015. There are certain regulations applied - more specifically that ❗️ all window shades must be closed until airborne❗️
Now you might think so what?
Ok, let me explain - the thing is that if anything happens during a take-off or landing, your eyes will already be used to the day or night light outside, thus you will be able to react more quickly. Another reason for keeping the blinds open is visibility of aircraft outside, that is to assist the crew in case of an emergency, so they can see out of the aircraft in case of an evacuation. Most accidents happen during take off or landing so this makes complete sense.
However in case of Pingtan Airport the regulation is totally the opposite you must keep you window shades closed.
besides the fact that it's not safe, in case of some passengers it can cause deterioration in well-being and dizziness - just what happened to me during takeoff.
p.s. I never got sick or dizzy on an airplane. I mean NEVER in my life.
