🐱Tama (たま), born on April 29, 1999, in Wakayama Prefecture, passed away on June 22, 2015. She was a female calico cat. This adorable cat and her assistant were almost daily on duty at Kishi Station on the Kishigawa Line in Wakayama City, welcoming passengers and tourists. She directly saved a railway line that was on the verge of being discontinued, successfully attracting countless visitors and boosting the local economy.
