No deposit required. The hotel ask all guests to add WeChat for communicate while staying at the hotel. Our room quite large but, lots of dust all over the floor as there was a big construction behind our room. The hotel continued to built the new phases. There are lots of steps and quite a long walk from the hotel lobby to the room. The advantage for staying here, the hotel guest can enjoy taking photos before and after all the tourists gone. Variety of food for the breakfast buffet. Check in and check out quite quick and easy. The room rate is higher than the outside valley for triple but more convenience. Not much privacy as the hotel was one part of the valley, all the tourists can walk around the hotel too.

The staff are friendly, the room is clean, the service is very good, they help with everything, they are caring, they are good at talking, the location is near the valley, there is a free shuttle from the accommodation to the valley, the staff gave the contact of the shuttle from the station, the service is very good.

The shuttle was very much appreciated and he helped arrange a shuttle to the train station too. He was available at any time for any questions and really went out of their way to help us. The carpool service from the Shangrao railway station to the hotel costs 35 yuan per person. The driver is so nice as well. All took care of us like we are in their family. So much appreciated. There is a pickup and send service between the hotel and the village. About 10 minutes for a ride. The front of the hotel looks like so so. But the decoration of the room is amazing. Gonna give high recommendation to anyone who are planning to visit this ancient village. The great month to travel is July to September. I went there in early June. It was raining so there was no special show inside the village and the beautiful scenery is covered by the fog and clouds.

There were 3 of us, and we stayed in a 2 bed room, which was extremely spacious and clean. He helped us to get a shared car to pick us up from Shangrao railway station. He even offered himself to pick us up from Wang Xian Gu at night. The free breakfast provided was delicious even though it was just a bowl of noodles with meat and egg. We really appreciate their help and kindness. Highly recommended.

Great hotel, convenient location, river view room has magnificent view of Tao Jiang, good housekeeping, helpful staff, delicious tea at lobby.. Very good breakfast with large selection. Convenient laundry facility. Excellent banquet food. My only suggestion is to enforce the non-smoking policy in public areas and in non-smoking rooms because the smoking smell stays.

Stayed here in end Oct. Ji Hotel entrance is just beside Mercure Hotel entrance, so don’t enter the wrong one. Comfortable bed with double pillows and the only hotel (out of 5 we stayed in this trip) that provided fridge and free mini bar in the room. Good breakfast spread and quality with local specialities like jar soup and noodles. However, the air conditioning in the room wasn’t working properly, so the room was warm and stuffy. When we called the reception about it, we were given a silly excuse and a standing fan which was dusty and not standing straight. Not only did they not bother to wipe the dust off the fan before letting us use it, the staff who brought the fan to our room was impolite and left the fan at the door expecting us to move the dusty fan into the room ourselves. This is not the service standard we expect from Mercure. They gave us 2 packs of local noodles as gifts to make up for the unpleasant experience when we complained about it during check out

We only stayed at this hotel for a transit as we were visiting Wangxiangu the next day. However we found that this hotel is amazing! upon our arrival they upgraded our room and then our TV wasn't working properly and as an apology they upgraded our room again to a huge suite. This is a good hotel and good value for money. It is located very near to Shangrao train station within a walking distance. It is very convenient for traveler. The room is clean and well maintain. Tge bed is clean and soft i feel so comfortable. There are all facilities and amenities need for most traveler in the room. It is smoking room but it contain slightly smoking smell. It is no problem at all. I think this is the best hotel if you are looking for the hotel not far from train station. The break fast is ok for money we pay.

The main entrance is inspiring. Front desk was extremely helpful. As I would’ve expected from Shangri-La the room was exceptional. The view was wonderful picture of the river. I was disappointed with the Chinese restaurant second floor, where we ate dinner and I was also disappointed with breakfast offering at the Horizon club on the 32nd floor. Dinner early they were out of seven dishes that we selected they were still on the menu to choose from incomprehensible. At breakfast the staff at the Horizon club was very attentive, however, the food selection was sparse, and while quite fresh, was less than expected. Hotel 5 Stars. Restaurants 3 stars.
