Definitely a must see in KL, especially because of the beautiful buildings surrounding it with great Arab/moorish architectureIt's a wonderful place to visit with family and friends, especially in the evening to avoid the heat. The architectural views are stunning, particularly with the Sultan Abdul Samad.Beautiful KL. Staring from where Independence were declared, Merdeka Square and its beautiful landscaped vicinities. Don’t have enough pictures to show it all. You just have to experience it yourself.

The Independence Square in Kuala Lumpur is a landmark attraction in Malaysia and is well worth a visit. It is a symbol of Malaysia's independence, and the Malaysian flag was first raised here on August 31, 1957, declaring national independence. At the southern end of the square stands the world's tallest flagpole, up to 100 meters high, and is a popular spot for tourists to take pictures. Surrounded by many historic buildings, such as the Sultan Abdul Shamah Building, its architectural style blends Victorian and Moorish elements and is of great value for viewing. Independence Square also has a fountain, columns and flower beds, which are beautifully designed for leisure walks. It is not only a witness to history, but also a cultural and activity center in Kuala Lumpur, where important festivals such as National Day are held every year.

The Plaza de Independence is located in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia. The Plaza was built in 1961 and completed in 1976. It is one of the largest squares in the world. There are buildings such as the National Monument of Malaysia on the Plaza de Independence. The square is surrounded by many buildings of historical value. Overlooking Independence Square, Sultan Abdul Shamad is one of the most prominent landmarks built in Britain. The design was inspired by the Indian Mughal architecture, completed in 1897, which was established by the Selangor Secretariat and later changed to the Supreme Court. After years of waste, it is the site of the Ministry of Heritage, Culture and Arts. There are also Tudor-style Selangor Royal Club, National History Museum (formerly Standard Chartered Building) and Memorial Library, Episcopal Church of Santa Maria, a 100-year-old Gothic building, Kuala Lumpur Main Train Station, etc.

Traveling to Kuala Lumpur, you can't help but come to Independence Square, which is one of Kuala Lumpur's landmarks, witnessing the historical moment of Malaysia's liberation from British colonial rule, and raising the first flag of Malaysia here, which is comparable to Beijing Tiananmen Square. Today's Independence Square can feel the bustling of the modern city, and is the first choice for enjoying the heritage buildings of Malaysia's city. There are eclectic colonialist buildings, and each building tells people about the past history of the country.
