The Bayou Hotel Langkawi

The best way to describe this hotel is, a 3-star hotel with a 4-5 star resort personality and quality :) While searching online prior to booking, I found that it is 3-star and boutique level (I have learned in the past during my few stays in LGK, 3-star on actual site is often actually 2-star and less) which admittedly, already sealed my expectations but I was banking on it being revamped and newly launched few months ago so worth a check-out. While the front facade is newly painted and looks like a shop lot converted hotel, my oh my, the moment you enter the Reception area, everything is so well designed and nowhere near its first impression - and the Bayou was definitely being sneaky on me with its amazing pool backyard view! Room was great and as aesthetically pleasing as advertised, breakfast was a good spread and staff was superbly friendly. It felt like we were in a resort hotel in spite of its location. Another thing that I enjoy here is the openness of the Lobby area with ample seating areas, separated by flexible sliding glass doors which made the area more spacious than it actually is - the design is very clever. This wild card was definitely worth it!

I liked very much staying in this gestahous. There were two pairs here from March 3 to March 10, 2019. The table with chairs on the terrace is available for evening meals. The rooms are small but both are quite comfortable. Cleaning on request. The sea road is 10 minutes along the field, cafes and other gestahouses. Hot water shower, air conditioner, clean bed, delicious breakfasts in the morning, friendly staff are what we have been waiting and getting from Tokman Inn. Couler with cold water and boiler is a great bonus. Taxi-minivan ordered for recess to Skybridge and the pier was cheaper than on the street. On Thursdays next to the hotel a delicious night market. All girls on recess are sincerely willing to help in everything. The hostess of Nisa is the charm itself, responsiveness and kindness. We liked everything, we want to come back here again.

Great & Amazing stay at this hotel . Very good vibes and quiet . Room is very neat and tidy, you can netflix and chill with your hoomies inside the room . Right outside the room there is swimming pool for guest to enjoy . Staff was also very friendly and kind, they greeted us with a big smile upon reaching the hotel lobby . The only thing about the hotel is that its very far from town about 30 mins to Cenang Beach . If you rent a car like us is actually okay otherwise grab would take very long to booked/reach .

A note to all the VIEWERS considering staying in a hotel for the foreseeable. Please be kind to the team members that you encounter during your stay! 🙏🏻 Due to disappearance of income for months, the hotel you are staying in probably cannot afford to bring many team members back from furlough. If you are asked to wait in the bar, with a complimentary drink when you arrive at the hotel because your room is not quite ready. Sit patiently in the bar, and please be assured the team are working as quickly as they can. Imagine if you had to clean 20+ bedrooms yourself and think how long it would take you and how you would be feeling after room number 10! 😩 Don’t be surprised if the receptionist, waiter, housekeeper that you come across, does not actually have that role in their job title. With limited staffing, the hotel becomes 1 team! So if the waiter isn’t familiar with what beers are on offer and has to check, don't sigh and roll your eyes! Say thank you...they are probably the HR Manager! 🙋🏼‍♀️ Your room may not be cleaned everyday, as they have a duty to protect the team and as you should all well know, the virus can survive on surfaces and in the air. So why would they want to send our team into a dangerous environment just so you can have your bed sheets tucked in! They can of course offer you a top up of any guest supplies! In fact, you can have as many tea bags and loo rolls as you like!!! And yes, you have single use cups in your room, because no, they don’t have time to run 400+ cups and mugs through the dishwasher on a daily basis. 🤔🤔😫😒 When you decide to dine in the hotel, the menu may be limited. Please consider that there is likely to only be 1 chef in the kitchen, on his own, running the whole operation...yes that includes washing up too! They are grateful you chose to dine with them, but please be considerate and don’t complain because there isn’t enough options on the menu and you wanted steak! 🥗🥣🌮🥪🍲🥘🌭 I am sure the rate you are paying for your room may be a considerable amount of money to you. But, be rest assured they are considerably cheaper than what you would usually pay. So please do not ask for a discount because the leisure facilities are closed. As above, the industry is already struggling for income without having to process refunds because you weren't impressed with sausage you had at breakfast because it tasted too piggy! 🐷👏🏻👏🏻 And lastly, it is highly likely the hotel is going through a redundancy and restructure process right now. It is a very sad time for the hospitality industry. So please be kind, it is a very stressful and upsetting time for the team. They work very hard and very long hours to ensure that you have a relaxing break! I could go on but I am sure you get the gist by now! Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy your next stay in a hotel 😊😊😉 *Copied from a friend* *additional note Some get to see their family their kids less than 15 mins average a day, before they fall

A modern oasis from which to explore the island. We toured Langkawi and this was our last hotel. Very handy for the airport and over a row of good shops - pharmacy, convenience stores and fast food KFC and Tealive. Also close to the best supermarket we'd found on the island ( didn't explore Kuah). Not the first one, that's a very hot shed beyond my ability to explore!) Staff friendly and the restaurant great for breakfast and dinner. A lovely pool on the roof ( we didn't actually use it as we were only there one day). Also a bar with a little library to exchange your holiday reading. Comfy beds, small room (ours) but clever use of space. There is car parking.

This hotel is located within a business centre where there are a lot of shops (guardian,7e) restaurants (4fingers, old town, laolao, chagee, yasmin nasi kandar) and a supermarket. Easy to get parking, there is also a basement parking and it is free. Easy check in and check out process. Friendly staffs and helpful. Rooms are clean with modern interior design/concept. Bathrooms are clean and big. Big smart tv and Netflix connection is smooth. There is a seating area with tv and a coway machine at the level entrance. Overall satisfied with the experience.

Pantai Cenang
When we started planning our trip to Lankawi we chose between two beaches: Pantai Cenang and Pantai Tengah. Tengah seemed to be quieter, but Cenang had more activities (watersport, beach cafes, different kind of shops along main street Jalan Pantai Chenang, etc). So, we decided to choose Cenang beach and hotel Langkapuri Resort. Its main building is located some 30 meters from the beach on its south end. We lived in room 202 with sea view and balcony. Our room was spacious and comfortable, good beds an pillows, large closet, decent bathroom. Absolutely no noise. There is a rooftop restaurant on the 5th floor where breakfast is served. View from the roof is magnificent – Cenang beach, Andaman sea, sunset. Breakfast menu was mainly local, but there were coffee, scrambled eggs or omelet, cheese, sausages, pastries, fruits. Enough to start a day. Staff was helpful. Everyday cleaning, new supply of teabags, instant coffee and bottled water. Just don't forget to put on ”Clean my room” on the door. Taxi stand is nearby, by I recommend to use GRAB application, it is cheaper. There is no shower curtain in the bathroom. Each time you take shower bathroom floor needs sweeping. No big deal, but not very convenient.

The hotel is fine, free parking available. Beautiful view and swimming pool. The hotel is under renovation, so some parts still ugly and undone. RM100 deposit required and RM3 cukai langkawi. During checkout, they asked you to wait for the room to be checked first. If ok, they will return your deposit. Paid for RM300 but feels like RM50 hotel haha.. wth I asked for extra shower gel but they gave us the soap bars, I wanted the shower gel but they said that is shampoo, not shower gel, but im pretty sure i can read well haha I just accept that maybe they dont want to give. And i would request for extra bottled water, they refused my request either. It is not worth to upset the guest on little things that won't make much difference on your business profit. They need to uplift on that too. It would ruin the entire stay. The hotel wasn't packed too, it was low season.
