Asakusa Temple is a must-check-in tourist attraction in Tokyo, where you can feel the atmosphere of the ancient Edo period, and it is also the oldest temple in Tokyo. Recommended tour route: Asakusa Cultural Tourism Center - Leimen - Treasure Gate - Five-Tower - Asakusa Temple Bentang - Zhongjian Shitong . Among them, the thunder door is also a symbol of Asakusa; the red lantern hanging in the center of the door is a favorite punching point for tourists, and they need to queue up to take pictures during peak hours. The street between "Leimen" and "Treasure Gate" is a historic ancient commercial street, the streets are full of traditional food, there are some old-fashioned food, there are some traditional crafts. There are many exquisite girls dressed in kimonos on the street. It is really the icing on the cake.

If you do have some time to spare why not head down to the Gotokuji Temple famously known for the fortune cat. It is said that a cat beckoned a lord to visit the temple when he was on his way back from the falconry. During his visit there the weather changed and there was a thunderstorm. The lord was very thankful to be out of the stormy rain. This person was li Naokata, lord of Nikone Domain. With Naokata' support the temple was rebuilt in 1633. (google website) A hall was later built for the cat as it brings good luck. It is known as the lucky cat or the good fortune cat.

Since the film's release, it has attracted many fans to make the pilgrimage, especially at a crossroads in front of the shrine, which is also the location for famous scenes. Mainly dedicated to the god of sukuka and the god of inari, the shrine has the precious "36 Song Xian Painting", which is the designated tangible cultural heritage of Shinjuku District.

Japan has lost this temple, it seems very clean, because its geographical location is relatively special, this temple when I went there were a lot of monks here to read scriptures, cultivate their body, such a scene looks so quiet, so peaceful

Hōzōmon Gate A famous landmark in Akasuka, next to a famous Buddhist temple and Shrine, surrounded by hundreds of little shops and restaurants. It's a must visit place for tourists, however be aware, it gets really crowded at the weekends.
