Amman City Tour
Raed Alhaji
Your Tour Manager will pick you up from your Hotel in Amman to start your full City Tour in Amman, Jordan. Start your Amman City sightseeing with a visit to the King Abdulla Mosque which was completed in 1989 as a memorial by the late King Hussein to his grandfather. The unmistakable blue-domed Mosque can house up to 7000 worshippers inside. This is the only Mosque in Amman that openly welcomes non-Muslim visitors. Then pay a visit to the Amman Citadel located 132 meters above the level of the City Centre. South of the castle we can still see the ruins of Hercules temple. Also there is Umayyad palace. The adventure continues then with exploring the Roman Amphitheater which is considered one of the largest in the Middle East. Its construction dates back to the beginning of the second Century AD. Then take a walk in Amman’s downtown markets and City center before heading to the Archaeological Museum and Darat al Fnoun which aims to provide a platform for the visual arts from the Arab World. It feels like the largest and most modern shopping mall in Amman. It has all kinds of brands, including H&M, Zara, Starbucks, McDonald's, Xiaomi, etc. There is also a cinema on the top floor. There is also a local dessert gift shop on the first floor, which was founded in 1942. You can try it for free. Chocolate desserts are 23 JD per kilogram, and boxed biscuits and desserts range from 7 to 25 JD. They are very suitable for bringing back home as gifts.
The Hashemite Plaza
Raed Alhaji
The Hashemite Plaza is a plaza spread over 20,000 sq and one of the most popular spots in Amman. Located on Al-Hashemi Street, it has pretty foundations, lovely gardens, and seating facilities across the open area. With eateries, restaurants, and cafes a visit to the Hashemite Plaza is a pleasant way to spend an eveningNamed after the Jordanian Royal family, the eastern end of the plaza is one of the best places to take a stroll and enjoy the surrounding views. Also, the Amman Book Festival is conducted here each year. The Hashemite Plaza is surrounded by a couple of landmark Roman ruins. The Roman Theatre looks splendid with its 6000 seats looming on the southern side of the Hashemite Plaza. On the eastern side is Odeon, the smaller theatre. A short distance afar is Nymphaeum, the Roman public fountain. Besides, the Citadel Hill stands tall above the Hashemite Plaza and offers some great bird-eye views of it from its top.
King Abdullah Mosque

Women must wear gowns to cover their hair in order to go in and visit. There is a dressing room specially designed for women to change into gowns. The gowns are free to borrow. Photographs can be taken outdoors, but not indoors. Five prayers a day and six hours of sunrise are displayed on the electronic clock on the wall. About half an hour in advance, the city's loudspeakers remind Muslims that they are ready to pray.
