Nai Yang Beach
Stopped for a week in the Family Luxury. The hotel is on the beach, a balcony with sea view. Clean, quiet, a little irritated by the constant smoking of the neighbors, all the smells pulled into our room. The service is unintrusive. The location is excellent - near the hotel there are many available cafes, there are machines, opposite Family mart. We liked everything, we recommend the room number, the rest rooms are smaller and without a balcony.

Phuket Town
We were in Phuket only for 2 nights and Sleep at Phuket was excellent choice. Location is great, near city center. Room was clean, air conditioned. There is also TV if you’d like to watch some Thai shows :). In our room view was at other building which was about 2 meters away from ours. So if view at the city is what you’re looking for you’ll probably keep your curtains closed, like us. Except for that it was a pleasant stay. In the building is also washing machine and elevator. Rooms was daily cleaned and shampoo and shower gel was provided.

Kamala Beach
This guesthouse exceeded my expectations beyond words. I judged it prematurely because of the price but my room was very big, it was squeaky clean and it actually looked nice. I also had a TV that I actually used, a kettle to make my coffee, an iron to press my clothes and a mini bar fridge. My room also had a balcony. The location is perfect. About 8 minutes walk to the beach (DON'T use the main road if you're walking, it's dangerous with no side walks and further. Use the backstreets). There are bars, restaurants, currency exchange offices, laundromats, ATM's and spa's everywhere you look. Had I known how much I would enjoy this place I would have stayed much longer. The staff at Sure Guesthouse is also very friendly, professional and helpful. Lastly, if you are not driving or using a motorbike, don't you worry, Grab and Bolt work very well here. I was using Grab to go to faraway destinations but then I switched to Bolt because their prices are almost 1/3 of Grabs prices. Cons: It gets a little noisy at night (cause of the bars and nightlife), but not so bad that you can't sleep. Also, there isn't a lift so you have to use stairs (this was fine for me cause I was eating ALOT so I needed the stairs, but I know some people don't like that and should probably ask to get a room on the 2nd floor when booking. Overall, this is a great place to stay for anyone of any age especially considering the price. If I ever come back to Thailand, I will definitely stay at Sure again.

Patong Beach
I stayed at this hotel in February 2024, which is conveniently located about a 5-minute walk from Bangla Street and the department store, with a 7-Eleven across the street. The area is bustling with people and cars, offering a sense of security at night, although the noise level might be a concern for some. The hotel is staffed with a security guard who is available for late-night check-ins, and the staff at the clothing store downstairs were polite and helpful during daytime check-outs. I stayed in a queen room, which was clean and comfortable with a large bed. The air conditioning worked well, but the lack of a balcony and the placement of the air conditioning unit outside the window meant it was best kept closed. A brighter room would have been preferable. Basic amenities such as shampoo were provided, but no toothbrush. Upon request, a hairdryer was brought to my room. Although there is no pool, there is a large outdoor space where you can relax. Interaction with the staff was minimal, but everyone from the cleaners to the front desk and the security guard was kind and helpful. Considering the overall hotel prices in Phuket, I found this hotel to be a good deal. Its convenience for a casual stay makes me want to return. This hotel is ideal for those who enjoy nightlife and shopping, but it may not suit those looking for a quiet retreat. It is recommended for travelers who prioritize location and value for money.

I loved this hotel, all of the staff were very friendly, however one man in particular was very helpful. He truly went above and beyond for us, nothing was too much. The rooms are very modern and clean, and equipped with air con. Bed was very comfy. Only downside to this hotel is that it is quite out of the way from the main attractions like Patong/ Katar beach. However, you can rent a scooter from the hotel for 300baht for 24 hours so it was no trouble at all getting around. There’s also a weekend market 2 minutes away with lots of street food and stalls. Elephant sanctuary about 30 minute drive and tiger kingdom 15 minutes away. I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!!!

The room is quite gloomy, spots on the walls. Not nice to stay there for long. Blanket doesn’t look fresh however I guess that it’s washed etc. fan is quite strong, no a/c. Very uncomfortable sockets that can’t hold a plug in without help. Saw a cockroach in the bathroom. Window view is for the corridor. When the fan is on, curtains are blown and it’s not comfortable to change or go in the towel in the room. Staff asked me if that’s okay when I saw a room with this gloomy vibe and this window, I was like “not okay, but do I have a choice?” — “no. So is it okay?”. Anyway, women at the counter are friendly and can’t do anything about it. But yep, quite comfortable location to see the centre of Phuket.

Kamala Beach
I stayed at Kamala Dreams for two weeks at the end of April and the start of May. It is low season, so there were very few guests at the hotel. I chose Kamala Beach over the other locations because many commenters noted it is a family beach. There were correct that many young couples with babies and strollers roamed the small beach walkway in front of the shops and restaurants. There are a couple of bars, but they are low-key. Kamala also has some surfing. There were a couple of days when a storm came through, and folks were renting boards to surf with the locals. There are two open-air food courts with authentic Thai food at excellent prices. One is right down from Kamala Dreams. Walk out the back of the hotel to the right hugging the orange dive shop building wall to the parking lot with all the tents where the cooks do their magic. The second food court is just off the beach, 50 meters further down the beach from the white Tsunami Warning tower. Likes: -The room was large with a desk area, cabinets, a lounger chair, and a king-size bed. The sheets were reasonable quality with no stains, and the pillows were firm and full. -The A/C worked well. -Small kitchen area with sink, fridge, microwave, and electric kettle. -The glass doors out to the porch are tinted with privacy glass. -The porch is terrific for hanging out by the pool if you are on the first floor. -The bathroom is fine with a water heating unit. -The wifi worked well. -The breakfast included several choices, with the banana pancake leading the way. :) Not So Great: I assumed that the hotel being on the beach would mean they would have their own umbrellas and beach chairs. This is NOT the case for any of the hotels on Kamala Beach. There are sections of the beach with umbrellas and chairs that you can rent. They don't seem to be connected to any of the hotels. The bottom line is that Kamala Dreams is a three-star hotel not at the developed end of the beach, so no one seemingly cleans the beach or has shops or activities. As others point out in these reviews, you walk out the back of Kamala Dreams, turn right, and cross the small bridge over the drainage canal to access the clean beach, umbrellas/loungers for rent, other hotels, food stalls, etc. The drainage canal is polluted, so you want to avoid entering the sea near the hotel. Walk down the beach to umbrella areas to do your swimming. The cleanest part of the beach is down where the Novotel and the InterContinental are. And as nice as these hotels are, they do not have beach chairs or umbrellas either. Final Thoughts: Jan, the manager, was out of the country during my stay. However, I reached out to her because of problems with the pool. She immediately had a crew out to make repairs over a couple of days. Thanks, Jan! There are two upscale hotels just down from Kamala Dreams. They are nicely designed and offer music several nights a week. Even though it was low season, the pool areas were packed daily. I much

Ok I REALLY liked this hotel. It’s clean there’s lots to do around, it’s easy to hail a taxi online from here, the staff is friendly, the hotel is really quiet, central Phuket is a walk away, Pa Tong is nearby, Kamala is nearby, the hotel is aesthetically pleasing with nice paintings on each floor, the bed is comfy, there’s a microwave downstairs to warm food, there’s an area to do laundry, there’s a safe car park for those driving, the staff is so nice. I can honestly go on all day. The only thing I didn’t like is that when you shower the water went all over the bathroom. That was so stressful to me cause I don’t like a wet bathroom floor. But that’s literally it and it got cleaned everyday. Would I stay here again? Absolutely. I probably will stay here for the whole stay instead of hotel hopping. To save money and it’s close to everywhere. There’s a really nice restaurant right next to the hotel called Leo. Please give it a try. Amazing cocktails and great Thai food. Oh and their TV has English movies.
99 Oldtown Boutique Guesthouse

Phuket Town
Fun, immersive cultural stay in Phuket prime location refurbished traditional shophouse at good rates. This hotel is located at the most prime Thalang road in Phuket Old Town. It is a door step away from the famous Old Phuket Town Sunday night market where makeshift stalls hawked their wares, and there is lively singing by street performers into the night. The room is well kept and clean, with daily supply of 2 bottles of water and change of towels. Downside is the sound proofing is not so good in traditional house, but is generally ok once you get used to it. You have to take the stairs, but it’s part of the experience. The place is family run and the owners are typical Thai (reserved but very hospitable and helpful if you ask for help) This place is walking distance away from all the good restaurants (Raya and One Chun), coffee and international bars (all on same street or next street), cultural shops (buy goodies, souvenirs), tourist and tour agencies (can book local day trips). The beach is less than half hour away by taxi which you can easily book via Grab app which is like Uber. Taxis are cheap in Phuket. Just don’t get caught in the peak hour traffic. This location is also 15 min drive away from Phuket Central Festival mall which sports a plush cinema.

Phuket Airport Area
Do not book this for a holiday, but very convenient if you're on the way from point A to B and need a place by the highway to stay. It's very far from Windsor's entertainment districts such as Downtown/Walkerville/Amherstburg/Sandwich but certainly well-situated if you're not interested in the entertainment/historic value behind ”Sin City” and the first battlefields against the USA (there's more beauty to Windsor than meets the eye). This hotel is rather located right along the national highway route between Canada & the USA. The entire area is full of stores catered towards truckers & long-distance drivers such as fast food restaurants, money exchanges, gas stations, etc. The hotel itself is spacious and clean. Staff are very friendly & helpful. Breakfast these days does get restocked around the halfway point of the morning. Beds are comfortable. Again, it's far from the tourism of the city but at the center of highways for easy commute. Very safe area too.
