Awful company.
I'm 31 years old. Stocks were purchased for me as a child with my mom as a custodian. It has been a nightmare to try and sell $1000 worth of stock. I've spent an insane amount of time trying to get the stocks sold. My mom and I will probably die before this gets resolved. Don't work with them.
I followed the instructions by someone at their call center by sending my certificates in the mail with a signed letter saying I want to sell the stock. They said I committed fraud by signing both my moms and mine name. Then saying I have to go through more bureaucracy to transfer the stocks in my name to sell them.

The experience to deal with them blocking account access [now resolved] was absolutely frustrating. They were obtuse, uncooperative, and useless for many, many, many months in the process to attempt to resolve. In more recent weeks, they have been more helpful and responsive, and thus satisfactory. With that said, it is OBVIOUS that Computershare is excessively difficult to deal with. Thus, it is evident they have systemic issues with services and management. Basically, because the original issue is hereby satisfied, this review of 1 star is really a thank you for Computershare finally taking responsibility for its own issues and inadequacies. Consider this a positive, going from a review of what would have been negative a million to a positive 0 to 20 of 100. However, this 1 star review will not increase until Computershare makes systematic improvements and maintains such improvements consistently for 3 years.

Just had to call them as couldn't log into account. They gave simple advice, didn't wait too long, they kept me on hold to give me a chance to check if their suggestion worked. Great idea, if it hadn't I would have had to start again.
Only feedback the "press one for, press 2 for" didn't get me to the right place, had to re-do a few times.

My husband died last June. He had shares with this awful company.
I have sent them every document they have asked for, including the Grant of Probate TWICE, but they still keep asking for the same thing.
As an elderly, recent bereaved widow, this is beyond inexcusable and very distressing.

This company has a total disregard for their employees. They have a whole crew meeting expectations and exceeding the numbers they are supposed to generate and right before Xmas I mean literally 2 days before Xmas a lot the the employees got locked out of the VPN mysteriously and Computershare just ghosted all employees. Had to find out later on that they let all the employees go right before Xmas and did not have the decency to inform anyone they let the agency who found us this job break the news. They had no care about what was going to happened to the employees and if they ruined the holidays they just ghosted. One of the worst experience many of us ever had from an employer. Asked for so much and all goals were met there was no reason for them to do these employees like that… The most cowardly thing I’ve ever seen from a company. They also had the supervisor who worked with us everyday tell us she didn’t know what was happening and will get back to us and blocked everyone. I never seen such unprofessionalism from a company that hired all professional people. Also Ameil Crandal is very rude and nasty and is a manager of the company.

Terrible experience in every way, not sure how they are still allowed to hold securities. Outrageous fees for processing checks and sales of stock. Customer service is abysmal and make the process of cashing out nearly impossible.

We had a lot of difficulty selling the shares placed in ComputerShare by our late father. Several months of steps and discouragement.
ComputerShare did not accept to have all the documents by email, so many postal mailings and very long delays. And all that for a sum of a little less than $1000 minus $100 of fees of all kinds.
Here are some examples of what we experienced: documents lost by them that we had sent by mail so we had to send them back by money order with additional fees, photocopy fees, several papers to fill out with sworn signature, certified check that we had to pay twice because they had not given us the right amount on the phone, several appointments with the BNC who helped us in our steps and signatures.
Luckily for us that I was retired and that we had help from the BNC to settle this among the many matters that must be settled when losing a loved one.
We sincerely hope that this company improves its way of doing things because it was very painful and difficult to get our assets out.
Think about it before investing with ComputerShare

Computershare US are pathetic and has non-existent service. It took 6 months to access my transferred shares from Computershare ASX to the US when my one holding delisted and moved to the US. Computershare decided to send PINs via snail mail (6-8 weeks delivery time) to access the account. Each time, the number was wrong. I finally got access, but connecting the bank account to the holding via their platform took several weeks. Constantly said it was incorrect, then one day, it accepted the same information.
Meanwhile, my stock dropped 50% during all these delays. Thanks to their delay of another 10 days to link the account to a sale, I could not select wire when I sold and was forced to send via a check. When they finally activated the bank account, I asked to wire it, and they requested that I instruct them not via email but only via a letter via overnight DHL/FedEx to request a wire. Still, they would not accept it via email. AUD$95 to send a letter...a joke. This is 2025, not 1884 Computershare. I have no idea when the check will arrive and if it has been sent, there is no communication on ETA or tracking as they send it via the cheapest, slowest method. This is still going round and round with the US arm, which never answers its international number despite calling during business hours. Web support advised you to press "0" to be put through to a support person, yet they didn't provide that prompt or put you through to anyone - and hung up. It is an absolute scam - I do not know how they are compliant with holding securities.

The incompetence is astounding
This company send out automatically emails which they supposedly don't have access to when you call them up.
Have been going around in circles with them trying to get hold of my SRN for weeks now. They have been sending out paper mail to the wrong address

I've been dealing with Computershare for couple years now with very mixed results. But today I was lucky to talk to a customer service representative named Arafat by phone - very helpful and professional - well done!

Yet another company whom you go to a lot of time and effort to prepare for interviewing and they cant even be bothered to respond. How long does it take to send a quick note saying thank you for your time...etc??
Beware making the effort with this firm.

I had a question which couldn't be answered by the chat system, so they offered me a phone number to call on, I did so and spoke to a very nice guy called Nadim. My problem was a shareholding of mine which should have appeared in my Computershare portfolio but didn't. Nadim put it right straight away, and when I went on to the website again 10 minutes later, it was there ! Nadim very helpful, knowledgeable and with a good telephone manner. He told me to phone again if I had any other problems.

trying to access my account for weeks at this stage.
Received a letter with new temporary password.
Tried and account locked.
Eventually got to support.
Said my account would be unlocked after 24 hours, and it wasn't.
Rang back next day and more hassle. on hold for a long time.
Then told it will talk 3 business day.
Believe that the are deliberately making things hard to access.
avoid at all costs.

I had been given the run around for years regarding how I could access the shares I acquired via a corporate action.
James answered my questions quickly, and told me exactly what I needed to do to access my shares. Thank you so much James!
