MADISON, Wis.—Gusty winds and heavy rains have led to an end of fall color in many parts of Wisconsin.
But the Wisconsin Department of Tourism says there are some splashes of fall color in the southeast and southwest corners of the state.
The state has a weekly report that tracks the progress of fall color to Wisconsin’s 16 million acres of forests. It provides updates from all 72 counties.
The state says travelers spent nearly $3 billion during last year’s autumn season.
