CHASKA, Minn. — Authorities have arrested a man suspected of shooting two people Thursday night at a home in Chaska, southwest of the Twin Cities.
Chaska police said Joshua Lee Gilpin, 39, was arrested Friday without incident in nearby Jordan.
Police said the shooting victims knew Gilpin. Police were called about 9:30 p.m. to a Chaska home where a caller had reported that two people had been shot. Officers found two victims, a male and female, who were taken to a Chaska hospital and then transferred to Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis.
Police said the conditions of the victims was not known.
The shooting occurred at 3625 County Road 140. People in the area were advised to remain indoors while authorities searched for Gilpin.
All schools in the Eastern Carver County District were in lockdown Friday morning as a precaution and schools in Jordan were delayed two hours.
