Repairs scheduled for Alimagnet Dog Park in Burnsville next week have been postponed, the city said.
The 7-acre off-leash pooch park was to be closed Monday through Friday for a shoreline project, which includes adding limestone boulders to help reduce erosion.
The park will instead remain open those days.
The group People of Alimagnet Caring for K9s, which is paying for the project, said on its Facebook page the work is being put off because of “issues with the bid and all the administrative hurdles that exist along with it.”
“The erosion management solution is still on track to be built and installed along the ‘back’ side of the pond (where the shelter/heaters are) — just not right now,” the Facebook post said.
