Meet Us Weekly’s Most Stylish New Yorkers 2016
The Real Housewives of New York star is all about refreshing old looks. "I have pieces I've owned and worn for 10 or 15 years, and every time I wear them, I try to make them new," she has said. "[That way] I'm excited about what I have instead of constantly wanting to buy more."
"Because I don’t have an office job I don’t have that kind of wardrobe, but I still like to have a uniform," the RHONY star has said. "It used to be always like a great pair of jeans, boots, T-shirt and a sweater, but now I have substituted jeans with leather pants because I think they are making so many great kinds of leather pants. That’s my go-to thing with a gray sweater or blazer. … The key is just wear whatever you feel beautiful in."
The Today anchor's take? Organization is key. "Before becoming an official family member of Today, I would pick out an entire week's worth of clothes on Sunday night — shoes, dresses, earrings and oh, even my undergarments!" Hall has explained. “It was a rule I'd followed since my morning TV days in Chicago: Rain or shine, I wouldn't break the order selected."
"I have three style icons: [Danish painter] Bjorn Wiinblad, Bonnie Cashin [the inventor of the brass toggle clasp] and [textile designer] Alexander Girard," Adler's said of the lighthearted, colorful influences behind his quirky home designs and personal sense of fashion.
The Barneys creative ambassador-at-large, who married Adler in 2008 after 13 years together, has said: "Nothing ever goes out of style. You can be rockabillly or sexy secretary. Figure out what your look is and shop it."
The Alice + Olivia designer has herself in mind when sketching. "[Alice + Olivia] literally started based on me," she said of the pair of striped pants that were the cornerstone of her first collection. "The concept was a pant that elongates, lengthens the look of the leg and raises the butt."
