Derek Hough

Derek Hough is a professional ballroom dancer and entertainer. He began his career in dance and London theater at age 12 alongside his sister Julianne Hough. He joined Dancing With the Stars in 2007, going on to win six mirrorball trophies and four Emmys before exiting the show in 2016. Derek served as a judge on NBC’s World of Dance before returning to DWTS as a judge in 2020.

Derek began dating fellow dancer Hayley Erbert in 2015 after she joined his and Julianne’s tour one year prior. The couple announced their engagement in June 2022 and tied the knot in August 2023.

Four months later, Derek stood by his wife’s side as she underwent an emergency craniectomy after suffering from a hematoma. She later underwent a second surgery to replace a large portion of her skull that was removed during her previous procedure. The couple began touring together again in April 2024.
