Elliot Page
Elliot Page (born Ellen Philpotts-Page) is an Academy Award-nominated actor and a producer. He grew up in Halifax, Nova Scotia, before scoring his first acting gig in 1997 at the age of 10 in the CBC movie Pit Pony.
Page is best known for his endearing performance as a pregnant teen in the hit 2007 film Juno and also acted alongside Sarah Jessica Parker and Dennis Quaid in the 2008 comedic drama Smart People. Later, he received critical acclaim for his role in Christopher Nolan‘s 2010 blockbuster, Inception, and starred in Drew Barrymore‘s directorial debut, Whip It, one year earlier.
In February 2014, Page came out as gay during a speech at the Human Rights Campaign’s “Time to Thrive” conference in Las Vegas. Two years later, he produced and hosted a Viceland docuseries called Gaycation, visiting different communities around the world to learn more about the experiences of LGBTQ individuals. The show aired for two seasons.
Page wed dancer and choreographer Emma Portner in January 2018. He came out as trans in a powerful Instagram post in December 2020.
