Kirstie Alley
Kirstie Alley got her big break in 1987 portraying Rebecca Howe on the sitcom Cheers. In 1991, she earned Emmy and Golden Globe Awards for her performance in the series. Alley went on to star opposite close friend John Travolta in Look Who’s Talking (1989) and its sequels: Look Who’s Talking Too (1990) and Look Who’s Talking Now (1993). From 1997 to 2000, she starred as the title character on Veronica’s Closet and starred in the television film David’s Mother (1994), earning a second Emmy Award.
Alley went on to star in Village of the Damned (1995), It Takes Two (1995), Deconstructing Harry (1997) and Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999). She also appeared on the reality series Kirstie Alley’s Big Life (2010), season 12 of Dancing With the Stars (2011 to 2012), season 22 of Celebrity Big Brother (2018) and The Masked Singer (2022).
Alley was previously married to high school sweetheart Bob from 1971 to 1977. She married actor Parker Stevenson in 1983, adopting children True and Lillie in 1992 and 1994, respectively, before splitting in 1997. In May 2022, the actress was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. Alley died in December 2022 at the age of 71.
