Pharrell Williams
Longtime record producer Pharrell Williams — most recently known for his collaborations with Daft Punk on “Get Lucky” and Robin Thicke on “Blurred Lines” — released his first solo album, In My Mind, in 2006. From 2002-2010, Williams also recorded four albums with childhood pals Chad Hugo and Shay Haley under the moniker N.E.R.D.
Prior to his solo success, Williams teamed with Hugo to produce hits including Britney Spears‘ “I’m a Slave 4 U,” Nelly’s “Hot in Herre” and Beyonce’s “Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend.” For his music production efforts, Williams netted three Grammy Awards, in addition to the two 2014 trophies he won for his personal Daft Punk collaboration.
Williams earned an Oscar nomination in 2014 for his single “Happy,” off the Despicable Me 2 film soundtrack, and is will release his second solo effort, G I R L, in spring 2014.
The musician married longtime partner Helen Lasichanh, a designer and model, in 2013. They have four kids together.
