Sharon Osbourne
An ever present part of televisions everywhere since the premiere of MTV’s The Osbournes in 2002, Sharon Osbourne has made her family a pop culture phenomenon.
Born in Brixton, England, Sharon had her first taste of fame when she began managing rocker Ozzy Osbourne‘s career in 1979 after he was fired from the band Black Sabbath. The two eventually married July 4, 1982, and have three children: Aimee, Kelly and Jack.
After her success managing Ozzy, she created Sharon Osbourne Management, overseeing the careers of bands like The Smashing Pumpkins and Motorhead. In 1996, she created Ozzfest, a highly successful hard rock festival, after husband Ozzy was rejected from Lollapalooza.
In 2002, The Osbournes premiered on MTV, created and produced by the emerging entrepreneur, and earned the network its highest ratings ever. On the heels of her family’s successful series, Sharon premiere her own talk show in 2004, but it was panned by critics. After both shows ended, Sharon became a judge on the U.K. reality competition show, The X Factor, and later, America’s Got Talent.
