Taylor Lautner

Taylor Lautner is an actor best known for his role as Jacob Black in the Twilight film franchise. As a child, Lautner participated in competitive karate, earning his black belt and winning numerous competitions. It was Lautner’s karate teacher who encouraged him to pursue acting, and in 2002, his family moved to California to support his Hollywood pursuit.

He initially booked roles on television shows such as My Wife and Kids, Summerland and The Bernie Mac Show. He has also appeared in Cheaper by the Dozen 2 (2005) and was first widely recognized for his role in The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl (2005).

Lautner’s claim to fame was starring alongside Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson in The Twilight Saga. The series was an adaptation of the widely popular vampire novels by Stephenie Meyer and features five movies in total, released from 2008 to 2012. This role propelled him to mainstream stardom, making Lautner a household name and earning him a number of award nominations.

Following the success of the Twilight franchise, Lautner continued to land both film and television roles, including in the action film Abduction (2011). He played the recurring role of Dale on BBC’s Cuckoo from 2014 to 2016 and signed on to the cast of Scream Queens shortly afterwards.

Lautner has previously dated Taylor Swift, Lily Collins and Billie Lourd. In 2018, it was announced that he was dating nurse Taylor Dome, and the couple tied the knot in November 2022.
