Swiping for love! John Mayer is trying to click with a special someone on the exclusive, members-only dating app Raya.
“His profile is a slide show of photos set to a Neil Young song,” a user reveals of the Montana-based musician, 38, in the new issue of Us Weekly.
The “Who You Love” singer, last linked to Katy Perry, admitted that he’s looking to settle down during a June appearance on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live aftershow. “I’m ready to roll,” Mayer told host Andy Cohen. “I’m more mature than I’ve ever been. The stage is set, but I’m excited for a meet-cute at some point. I’m single and I’m excited about the future.”
To use Raya, which bills itself as “an exclusive dating and networking platform for people in creative industries,” one must first be approved by an anonymous committee. (Acceptance is also reportedly based, in part, on each potential dater’s Instagram presence, according to the Cut.)
Other celebs who have tapped the app include Jeremy Piven, Matthew Perry and Chelsea Handler. “I go on dating apps all the time!” Handler, 41, told Extra in May, noting she’s also tried Tinder and Bumble. “It’s so much fun.”
And the outspoken host of the Netflix talk show Chelsea has no worries that fellow online daters may assume her accounts are fake. “I don’t care what people think,” she joked. “I know it’s real, and if I want to hook up, it’s a good place to find me if you’re looking for me.”
