Kristin Cavallari is setting the record straight on past rumors regarding Scott Disick — and where they stand now.
Disick, 41, allegedly reached out to Cavallari, 37, via Instagram DMs for the first time in years. The Hills alum was quick to read the apparent recent message during the Tuesday, November 26, episode of her “Let’s Be Honest” podcast.
“It’s been such a long time. It’s crazy, kind of, crazy that our lives also ended up being kind of similar,” the alleged message reads. “I feel like it would be so good to see you and catch up and just talk about the stress and all the different things you got to go through with kids and changing your life around over and over. Really miss you though and wish I would have reached out earlier.”
Disick wrote that he’s been “so busy trying to be the best dad I can be” in his message and gave her his phone number as well, Cavallari claimed.
“Scott, you miss me after 17 years?” Cavallari said, claiming that he was displaying “classic manipulation” tactics. (Us Weekly has reached out to Disick for comment.)
“If this is not the most manipulative text I’ve ever gotten, well, then I don’t know what is,” Cavallari claimed. “This is classic textbook manipulation control bulls—.”
Tuesday’s podcast episode featured Cavallari reading old headlines about herself and sharing the real story. Disick’s name came up when she was talking about a past headline that claimed that they had an affair during his relationship with Kourtney Kardashian. The Laguna Beach alum vehemently denied it at the time — and again during her podcast.
“We used to party together. We used to hang out all the time. Nothing ever happened between us. Then he started dating Kourtney,” Cavallari, 37, recalled. (Disick and Kardashian started dating in 2007, splitting for the first time in 2008 and reconciling the following year.)
“Kourtney and I became really good friends, and I really loved Kourtney. We had so much fun together,” Cavallari recalled. “Scott and Kourtney broke up. Well, I’m still friends with Scott.”
Following the breakup, Cavallari joined Disick and his friends in Las Vegas.
“I was never alone with Scott. Not even for one f—ing minute was I ever alone with Scott,” she said. “Next morning, wake up, I think it was that said Scott and I hooked up in Vegas.”
At the time, one of their mutual friends from the Las Vegas trip alleged “for a fact” that Disick “100 percent” planted the hookup story “get Kourtney back” and “piss off” his ex.
“There was zero truth to it. We weren’t even being flirty or touchy. There was nothing to it,” Cavallari recalled. “I could see if we were out at a club and we were like flirting and like just being drunk and like having fun. That wasn’t even the case.”
