Still in this together! Though the last High School Musical film was released seven years ago, the cast has remained close through the years. And on Friday, July 24, several of the beloved films’ main stars reunited for the premiere of Disney’s Descendants in Burbank, Calif.
Corbin Bleu (Chad Danforth), Monique Coleman (Taylor McKessie), Ashley Tisdale (Sharpay Evans), Lucas Grabeel (Ryan Evans), and Olesya Rulin (Kelsi Nielsen) came out to support their HSM director Kenny Ortega‘s latest project, and, much to fans’ delight, they shared an adorable selfie from the event.
“LOVE these kids! @corbinbleu @_moniquecoleman @ashleytisdale @mrgrabeel @olesyarulin #HighSchoolMusical #DisneyDescendants,” Ortega captioned the photo with the former child stars, adding, “What team? Wildcats! And how I love you all! Thank you for celebrating with me @ashleytisdale @corbinbleu @olesyarulin @_moniquecoleman @mrgrabeel #DisneyDescendants.”
Bleu also posed for pictures on the red carpet with his fiancee Sasha Clements.
Not present at the event were HSM stars Zac Efron (Troy Bolton) or Vanessa Hudgens (Gabriella Montez). Efron is currently filming Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates with Anna Kendrick, and Hudgens recently wrapped a stint on Broadway in Gigi and is preparing for her role as Rizzo in Fox’s Grease: Live.
