Downton Abbey’s Mr Bates dishes on his TV Obsession, his favorite city and what he loves most about Americans

He is the one who watches! Spotless star Brendan Coyle reveals his current obsessions to Us Weekly in an exclusive video, and he is quick to admit that he shouldn’t have waited so long to jump on the Breaking Bad bandwagon. 

The 52-year-old actor, who’s known for playing Mr. Bates on Downton Abbey, told Us Weekly that he’s a big fan of Netflix shows such as Bloodline, House of Cards and Orange Is the New Black

But he saved his most effusive praise for the Emmy-winning AMC drama Breaking Bad, which signed off in September 2013 after five heavily lauded seasons. Indeed, Coyle admits that he is “late to the party,” as he is currently still on season 3.

“Sweet baby Jesus!” Coyle says of the drug-centric series that starred Bryan Cranston as Walter White and Aaron Paul as Jesse Pinkman. “It just doesn’t get better than that.”
