While it’s difficult to imagine anyone other than Grey playing Frances “Baby” Houseman, other big actresses were contenders for the iconic role. One of them? Sharon Stone.
Swayze, who died of cancer in 2009, turned down a $6 million paycheck to appear in a sequel.
Stone wasn’t the only actor to audition for the movie. Sarah Jessica Parker was also in the running as Baby. Billy Zane was originally supposed to play Johnny when filming began, but the role ultimately went to Swayze.
