Kyle Wishes He Proposed to Deepti, Shake Fights With the Lacheys and More ‘Love Is Blind’ Reunion Revelations

The Love Is Blind season 2 reunion saw some feuds mend while sparking new drama with Abhishek “Shake” Chatterjee and — well, pretty much everybody. Shake was in the hot seat during the special, which started streaming on Friday, March 4, but he also inserted himself into a lot of the conversation. During one segment, Iyanna McNeely told her controversial costar that he would “seriously benefit from seeing a psychologist and figuring out some coping skills to navigate relationships as a narcissist.” She added that he’s going to “continue to damage relationships” if he didn’t get help. Fans watched Deepti Vempati dump Shake at the altar during the finale and after seeing what he said about their lack of physical connection when she watched the show back, Deepti knew she made the right decision. “It’s OK to not be physically attracted to somebody. Guess what? There are a million other people who are. It's the way you go about life,” she told her ex at the reunion. “It's how you do it and how you say it that's extremely disrespectful and degrading to women. And I’m so happy for every single person sitting on this couch today because they have my back and they call you out.” [sendtonews type="float" key="mRl7TDo9H8-2833814-14453"] Natalie Lee chimed in and revealed that Shake said a lot worse things off camera, with Iyanna calling what viewers saw the “watered-down version” of Shake. “I don’t understand how you don’t feel remorse,” Natalie said before Deepti pointed out that “every single person here has an issue with you.” Even hosts Nick and Vanessa Lachey got into it with Shake. When he doubled down on the importance of physical appearance, Vanessa told him that he’s on “the wrong dating show." "But I wanted to be partially blind," Shake fired back. "I wanted to be, Love Is Blurry.… We all have our physical preferences. Listen, every woman in here is beautiful. I think you're all beautiful. I’m not attracted to all of you. Unfortunately, the only one I'm attracted to is Vanessa — and I wish I wasn't! I wish I wasn't. The point is, it's not a choice." After he added that “it’s nature” and “we’re animals,” Nick stepped in. “No, you treat animals. We're human beings. There's a big difference,” the musician said to the veterinarian. Shaina and Shayne Drama

Shayne Jansen opened up about the moment he confused future fiancée Natalie with his other connection, Shaina Hurley, in the pods. “That was easily the biggest mistake I made on the show,” he said, admitting he “played the victim card” in the situation. “We’re listening through a tiny, little microphone through a wall. You hear it differently, but I definitely 100 percent regret and I’m honestly ashamed of the fact that I just went into straight attack mode.”

When asked why he asked Natalie to be his girlfriend when he still had feelings for Shaina, he said he was caught up in the situation. When it came to Shaina confessing that she wasn’t over Shayne just before he was set to propose to Natalie, the consulting manager admitted she felt “betrayed” by both of them.

Shaina’s ex Kyle Abrams also weighed in, accusing Shaina of wasting his time. She added that she felt “manipulated” by Kyle proposing with his mother’s engagement ring.

“It was a people-pleasing moment and I should have never said yes to you. I should have never said yes,” she admitted.

Shake vs. Everyone

Shake found himself chiming in during several segments, slamming Shayne when he said the point of the show was to find a wife. “This show’s about finding love, OK?” he said, noting he stands by asking Deepti whether she could sit on his shoulders at a music festival after Nick Thompson chimed in. “It’s not about rushing into something … skipping steps, you know, three through 20 to get to the end goal. … You don’t know what it is until you’re there.”

The group was quick to disagree with him, citing the description of the show.

He also accused everyone of being “fake ass f—k,” which prompted Jarrette to call him a “joke” who came on the show for the wrong reasons.

Jarrette and Mallory's Awkward Convo

While Iyanna revealed that they didn’t watch the show together, they were forced to watch a clip of Jarrette and Mallory Zapata’s conversation in Mexico.

“That part was actually hurtful,” Iyanna said. “Everything pre-proposal it's like I completely understand. Everything after was extremely hurtful for me to watch."

Jarrette called it a “very inappropriate conversation,” explaining, “I think at that point I had chosen Iyanna and I was very safe in my choice and having that conversation should have never happened. And I definitely want to apologize to [Iyanna] for making you look crazy. You know I would never want to do that ever again and that conversation should have never happened."

Mallory’s ex Sal Perez, meanwhile, called it “disrespectful” and claimed Jarrette downplayed the “joke” he made about Mal’s engagement ring. He subsequently apologized and the two men made up. Mal also said sorry to Iyanna, adding that she had several shots before the chat.

Sal Plays Coy About Why He Didn’t Work With Mal

Post-show, Mal revealed she and Sal "met for coffee and we chatted. But I think at the end of the day, we … I don't know, the connection wasn't really there and we just kind of understood that maybe it just didn't make sense to continue on."

Sal, meanwhile, said he felt “unheard” during his relationship with Mal, but opted not to explain why.

"There was just things that happened that I just really don't feel comfortable saying because it's pointless now," Sal said. "It's our history. Call it karma, call it whatever, I just don't think it's necessary to say,” he said.

Kyle Wishes He Proposed to Deepti

"I have a huge regret. Biggest regret is I should have asked Deepti to marry me," Kyle admitted during the reunion. ”That's what I learned the most. I f—ked up. I should have tried harder for you. I love her so much, she's the best. And I wish I saw what was right in front of me and that's my biggest regret. I'm sorry."

While Deepti simply smiled at the revelation, Shake couldn’t help but get involved. “I would love that between you two,” he said to which Kyle fired back, “Yeah, and it pisses me off because you wasted such a good opportunity."

The Night That Changed Everything for Natalie and Shayne

The exes, who dated for several months after they split at their wedding, still didn’t provide details of their off-camera fight. Fans did learn, however, that it wasn’t all Shayne’s fault.

"There was a reason why I got to that point," he said. "You're, kind of like, pushing it under the rug and making it seem like — the words that I used, they didn't just come out of nowhere. … I take most of the blame, yes. But you're sitting there saying this and that.”

Natalie replied, "Obviously, something I've done to you, pushed you to that point. I don't want it to seem like I'm just blaming it on you and those words came out of nowhere. I know that it came from a place of you being frustrated with me or me making you feel like you weren't enough."

Shayne concluded that he’s just “f—king sad” about the situation.

Iyanna and Jarrette Had Sex in Mexico

While she told viewers that she didn’t want to seal the deal until their wedding day, Iyanna confessed, "I was very protective about that aspect of our relationship and I wanted to reveal that when I wanted to reveal that. But if I'm honest, we had sex in Mexico. It was just one time!"
