On Sunday, January 13, celebrities took to the Critics' Choice Awards red carpet looking as glam and fabulous as ever. Although they stepped out in some seriously stunning dresses (and pantsuits!), we couldn't help but notice a few hot hair trends developing before our very own eyes. We saw lots of awesome bangs, killer bobs and chic ponytails — and probably not for the last time this awards season. Banging bobs

Whether it's to the chin or grazing the shoulder, bobs seemed to be the haircut of choice at this awards show. Seen on not just Regina King and Charlize Theron, but Chrissy Teigen and Emily Blunt also wore slightly longer versions.

Chic Ponytails

This updo is a hit IRL, but it isn't always sophisticated enough for the red carpet. Stars like Gemma Chan, Rachel Brosnahan and Debra Messing proved this wrong at the Critics' Choice, sporting très chic ponytails.

Beautiful bangs

Instead of keeping them pinned back or tucked away, stars like Allison Janney and Elizabeth Olsen showed that bangs make a great accessory. Constance Wu even stepped out in a fresh new set!

Lots of texture

We love to see women embrace and sometimes even enhance their natural texture. Angela Bassett's long curls are a perfect example, while Sandra Oh's bangs prove that textured hair can also pull off the forehead fringe.

Slicked Back

Keeping their hair tight, sleek and stunning, actresses like Emmy Rossum, Kiki Layne, Amy Adams and Issa Rae wore their hair slicked back in varying updos for a seriously sharp look.
