Planting the entrance to Taiz University as part of the ‘Green Paths’ project As part of the second phase of the ‘Green Paths’ project, and with the support of Search for Common Ground (SFCG), Tamdeen Youth Foundation (TYF), in cooperation with the Cleanliness and Improvement Fund in Taiz Governorate, resumed the campaign to afforest the central islands to improve the urban landscape and enhance the green environment in the city. The current afforestation activity extends from the entrance of Taiz University, the triangle, to the university gate in the Habail Salman area. It includes planting 180 Damas trees, fertilising them with the necessary organic fertilisers and caring for them by irrigating them regularly for two consecutive months to ensure their growth. In the first phase of the project, 163 Damas trees were planted in the centre islands from opposite Al Shaibani factories to the traffic roundabout, with the trees being provided with the necessary care. Through afforestation, we are not only planting trees, we are planting seeds of peace and stability, and fostering a culture where beauty and co-operation flourish hand in hand. #Green_Paths #Yemen

Concrete paving of the 564-metre-long, 3740-square-metre road between Al-Zabiya Al-Aslaf and the centre of Jablah district. This road was a major obstacle to the movement of people and access to essential goods and services. The local authorities prioritised the concrete paving of this road as a sustainable solution in the 2023 recovery plan. Thanks to the generous support of European Union (EU) for United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)'s Strengthening Institutional and Economic Resilience in #Yemen (SIERY) project, through Tamdeen Youth Foundation (#TYF). This achievement brings life and recovery to the centre of the district and connects the western districts, facilitates access to public services and facilities, and contributes to the activation of the economic movement in the region. SIERY's close work with local authorities enhances their efficiency in designing recovery plans and prioritising them based on community needs, improving the quality of life for the population and ensuring the sustainability of development interventions.
