This is critical and can make or break an individual. Contact TeenLife for assistance in getting you ready for the world of work.
How prepared is Gen Z for the world of Work? Recent research has shown that just one in four employers recruiting young people think they are well-prepared for the world of work (CIPD Survey, 2024). Citing social skills such as #communication a real issue. Strong 'human' or soft skills are essential in today's workplace, as AI and technology start to take over more routine tasks. Providing opportunities for young people to practice and develop their skills can make a difference, strengthening their chance to succeed at work and advance. 🤔 What steps will you be taking to support and develop young people in the workplace? Tools such as Which Career for Me can help with assessing skills, interests and motivations of students and support career readiness. Ask our team for details. #whichcareerforme #humanskills #softskills #genz

Do you agree? I have found that they have the technical skills and is not afraid to challenge the status quo. Their impatience allow them to reach success quite quickly. However, soft skills and emotional intelligence lack. That said many other generations also lack competence in these mentioned areas. The gap in my opinion is experience.

I had the incredible opportunity to present my poster at the #MBRT24 symposium. Research sometimes feels like a solitary journey, but events like this remind me that we’re part of a intellectual community that is focused on improving the future. 🧬 A heartfelt thank you to my supervisor, Khethelo Xulu, MSc Med, PhD, Pr. Sci. Nat. and my co-supervisor, Thabo Magwai for your leadership, guidance, and unwavering support. Your mentorship has been instrumental in shaping this important work. 🧠 I’m also grateful to have friends and colleagues in my field who continue to inspire and motivate me. Modisaotsile Lamola it was an absolute honor to present alongside you, we started this journey together and here is to the journey ahead and the amazing people who make it all the more rewarding! ✨

This is such a privilege to be part of this community.
We’re thrilled to reflect on our second WCFM Community of Practice online engagement session, and what an inspiring gathering it was! It was truly encouraging to witness how warmly new members were welcomed into the fold and to see the generous sharing of ideas, insights, and expertise. The spirit of abundance was palpable, with everyone embracing the mindset that by sharing what we each have to offer, we all grow and benefit far more than if we held onto our own expertise alone. This community continues to embody what makes collaboration so powerful: a shared passion, a commitment to learning, and a willingness to inspire one another. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this incredible session. Here’s to building something greater — together!
