To commemorate International Day of Persons with Disabilities, which falls on the 3rd of December annually, we held an interactive workshop to raise awareness of the challenges faced by people with disabilities. Creating a workplace that’s inclusive of people from all backgrounds is central to our organisation, and to ensure that we support equity in the workplace, we partnered with Equity Line to support our efforts. The event was an initiative by our Transformation and Sustainability division and gave insight into the lived experiences of people with disabilities and how we can make our workplace more inclusive. Here are a few pointers: • Always speak to the person with a disability directly and not to the person accompanying them. • Don’t make assumptions – people with disabilities are capable of supporting themselves with minimal assistance. • Use terms like “Persons with disability” and “wheelchair user” • Do not perceive people with disabilities as less able and allow them to pursue academics and other disciplines. #InternationalDayOfPersonsWithDisabilities #IDPD #IDPD2024 #AfricanBank #AudacityToBelieve

We have the winner of our internal PayShap SA WIN A Suzuki Swift competition! Mr. Hendric Moabi drove off in his new car on Tuesday, 26 November. He had this to say about winning the competition and his experience when using PayShap to send money to friends and family: “I feel honored and excited to be the internal winner. It’s a great recognition, and I’m truly grateful for the opportunity,” he said. “Using PayShap was or is incredibly convenient and efficient. At a bank created for the people, by the people, serving the people, the common denominator is, of course, people. Our employees are our most valued asset, and the individuals we serve motivate our actions and decisions. Our inaugural Audacious Achievers Gala Dinner is our way of rewarding and recognizing the exceptional performance of our team as we strive to fulfil our purpose of advancing lives. Audacious Achievers are African Bankers who go above and beyond their duties, consistently commit to excellence, and uphold our values in every interaction. The Audacious Achievers Recognition Programme acknowledges these outstanding individuals throughout the year with luxury quarterly getaways, recognition certificates, and Audacious Rewards points. This program is part of our enhanced Employee Value Proposition, which aims to foster a high-performance culture and nurture stewards of an audacious legacy. What makes the Audacious Achievers Programme particularly special is that our Achievers are nominated by their peers. The African Bankers set the high standards we aspire to achieve within this movement manifesting as a bank. Our Gala Dinner took place at The Westcliff, an iconic venue where we celebrated both the pioneers who founded African Bank and those who continue to follow in their footsteps. Our heritage inspires us not only in terms of our strategic goals but also in shaping the kind of African Bankers we aspire to be. The highlight of the evening was the exciting reveal of an overseas trip for our Audacious Achievers! Soon, these standout performers will prepare their passports for a journey to Greece, Italy, and Turkey aboard the luxury cruise liner, Sun Princess. It was a fitting tribute to the people making waves at African Bank. Congratulations to all our Audacious Achievers! 💙💚 #AfricanBankGCEOAwards #AudaciousAchievers #Leadership #AudacityToBelieve
