In 2018, Xolani made a bold move by investing his pension fund to purchase his first manufacturing machine. He quickly mastered product formulation and successfully developed and marketed his products. Despite encountering a major setback when his factory was broken into and his machines were stolen during the Covid-19 pandemic, Xolani demonstrated remarkable resilience. Today, he supplies his products through leading online platforms like Makro-Online, Leroy Merlin-Online and Amazon and on www.xshinemo.co.za With the invaluable support of Avo Vision through the Township Energy Fund (TEF) programme, in partnership with Industrial Development Corporation, Xolani has been able to sustain his business.
