***OPPORTUNITY*** UVU Bio is calling all recent matric holders with a keen interest in science, or individuals contemplating a career shift towards the sciences, to apply towards the Bioprocessing Skills Programme. This is a four-month initiative that is set to commence in January 2025. Selected individuals will have in-person training at the Cape Town campus and a two month internship at a host company. The programme is designed to facilitate a smooth transition into the sector, encompassing areas such as vaccine development and production, biological agents, metabolites, and pharmaceutically active ingredients. ***Funding Opportunity*** Funding opportunity has been made available by the dti (Department of Trade and Industry: Republic of South Africa) together with the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC), which is running a programme called the Khoebo Innovation Promotion Programme (KIPP).
