The Department of Public Works and Infrastructure, in partnership with the South African Police Service (SAPS) and the Construction Industry Development Board SA (cidb), successfully hosted the National Construction Summit on Crime-Free Construction Sites at the Durban International Convention Centre. Major highlights of the Summit included a message of support delivered by Coega’s Executive Manager: Business Development External Infrastructure Programmes, Mr. Chuma Mbande, and the signing of a pledge for crime-free construction sites, marking a unified commitment restoring safety in the industry.
