Community Media Trust (CMT) is a not-for-profit company that creates innovative mass media campaigns and implements effective in-person behaviour change programmes, mainly focused on health and human rights. CMT has become established as a leading provider of social and behaviour change communication services and has 25 years of experience in informing and inspiring South African communities.
Our various campaigns and programmes aim to empower the people of South Africa with information and support in accessing health and social services. Our community-based teams provide in-person behaviour change services in communities across the country, motivating and supporting people to reduce their risk of HIV infection and to access health services, and to support those living with HIV to remain on treatment. We are guided by a holistic, evidence-based approach that addresses various socioeconomic realities and structural issues.
Our extensive media service portfolio includes television, radio, documentaries, out-of-home advertising such as billboards and street poles, print and digital publishing including web-based and social media, and on-the-ground activations. Our experienced creative team follows a proven methodology to develop bespoke campaigns for our clients, from branding, imagery and messaging, to the creation of IEC (information, education and communication) materials.
