#TeamR4C recently participated in the 2024 Old Mutual Wealth Double Century, South Africa's premier endurance cycling event, representing our NPO initiative, Ride For Child, in support of the Bright Start Education Support Programme. 🚴♀️ The Double Century is no ordinary race, it's a grueling 202km challenge that tests endurance and teamwork against the stunning yet demanding backdrop of Swellendam. We couldn’t be prouder of #TeamR4C for securing an impressive 24th place out of 300 teams. Competing against some of the best, including professional teams, this achievement highlights the incredible spirit of teamwork, perseverance, and a shared commitment to making a difference. A massive congratulations to all the team members, including our CEO, Mark Tew, his race partner from the Cape Epic earlier this year, Duane Hulley, our valued partner from Sendmarc, Duane Nicol, and everyone else involved. Smiles that light up the holiday season! 🎄 This past month, our CSR team led a beautiful fundraising initiative to bring joy to 21 Bright Start Education Support Programme children by fulfilling their wishlist items, and we couldn’t be prouder of how our team came together to make it all possible. From generous donations to selecting thoughtful gifts and wrapping them with love, our team showed just how impactful collective kindness can be. Last week, the beautifully wrapped gifts were handed over by our team to the children at Bright Start, creating moments of pure joy that will be cherished for a long time. 🎁 We truly appreciate everyone who made this initiative possible. Seven years ago, I had a coffee at the Neelsie Student Centre in Stellenbosch with one of my greatest mentors and inspirations – Prof Edwin Theron from Business Management. We talked about how important it is to empower marketing honours students with the technological know-how and academic foundation to build long-lasting customer relationships – leveraging technological change in the process.  Since then, I’ve had the privilege of supporting him with the digital transformation component of Advanced Marketing Management 778 and contributing a client as case study for the students for their semester project. With Cyberlogic and Hyperclear Technologies having warmly welcomed the ‘whole me’ and my love for teaching, coaching and mentoring, I was able to continue my support to Stellenbosch University. This year, I was very excited to put forward a long-standing and valued Cyberlogic client, Spier Wine Farm, as the case study for the semester.  We had a wonderful afternoon at our Stellenbosch office this past week which offered students the opportunity to present their strategies to Spier. We were joined by leaders from Spier, Hyperclear Tech’s Chief Sales Officer, Lorraine Deane, and my colleague who leads Cyberlogic’s relationship with Spier, Jannie Franzsen. The process of learning, unlearning and re-learning is a lifelong commitment – one which I embrace as a technology and change leader. Thank you, Spier, for allowing us to be inspired by your story, legacy and brand that stood the test of time.
