📣 Today, 16 October 2024 marks #WorldFoodDay - commemorating the founding of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) in 1945. 🇪🇺 🇧🇪At ETHICORE Political Lobbying, we ushered in the day hot of the heels of our successful CEO-led business trade diplomacy and advocacy mission to the heart of European Union policy making - Brussels, from 9 - 10 October 2024. 🗣️ Significant in this regard was participation by our CEO Abdul Waheed Patel as a panel participant and speaker in the Highlevel Roundtable on South Africa - EU Agrifood trade, hosted by the South African Embassy to the Kingdom of Belgium, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and the Mission to the European Union. 🙏🏽 Our appreciation to Her Excellency, Ambassador Tokozile Xasa and her embassy team for their patronage and leadership in convening this important dialogue. 🏛 Together with representatives of the EU Commission (DG Trade and DG Agriculture), industry participants, trade associations and some of our most important client leaders in the sector, we are honoured and humbled to have contributed to the richness of the robust and constructive high-level policy deliberations, consensus building and solutions design, through our localised South African and continental Africa focus, through the lends of broader multipolar global and regional geopolitical shifts. 🌍 At ETHICORE Political Lobbying, we believe that Africa and leading African economies such as South Africa, not only face the greatest burden of food insecurity, undernourishment and hunger.
