Implementing a Skills Development strategy can often feel overwhelming, pulling focus away from your business goals. Feenix, as a registered Public Benefit Organization (PBO), makes it easier by partnering directly with all 26 public universities in South Africa. We take on the administrative challenges of bursary management, ensuring funds are efficiently and transparently allocated to qualified students who meet your specific requirements. With Feenix, you’ll receive all the necessary information and documentation for your verification officer, simplifying the entire process. Connect with Precious Mbele at precious@feenix.org, or Bongiwe Nkosi at bongiwe@feenix.org to explore how we can support your Skills Development efforts. Together, we can open doors to education and empower youth for a brighter tomorrow. #youthempowerment #skillsdevelopment #supportingstudents #bbbee #socialimpact #feenixpartnership #educationforall #sdg4 #csi #bbbeeexcellence

Online Fundraising (Crowdfunding) for Tertiary Education
About us
The Feenix Trust is a public benefit organisation that connects indebted university students with funding communities using technology. We connect students with communities that can provide the support they need to succeed in university and life after. This includes crowdfunding, bursary programmes, and wrap around student support. Individuals and businesses who have an interest in supporting youth education are able to find a student they connect with and contribute either a portion of or the entire outstanding fees amount. Individuals and businesses can also donate directly to the Feenix Pool Fund which is allocated in accordance with the B-BBEE criteria. Organisations can receive recognition in both Skills Development (SD) and Socio- economic Development (SED) categories when supporting Feenix students. This is dependent on the organisation’s workplace skills plan.

Feenix CEO Cara-Jean Petersen and Yusrah Adams, our Finance Controller, had the privilege of attending the “Empowering NPOs to Maximize Resources and Drive Impact” workshop hosted by Turning Point Chartered Accountants SA. The workshop delved into some of the most pressing financial management and administrative challenges faced by NPOs, providing actionable insights, affordable solutions, and best practices to empower teams to focus on their causes while ensuring robust governance and compliance. Reza Amra CA(SA) Director of Risk and Compliance at Turning Point, summed it up perfectly: "Our time is finite, both in a day and in our life. Tech needs to help free up valuable time so your time goes toward things you are passionate about and so that your team can focus on contributing in a valuable way toward the cause of your NPO." A big thank you to Turning Point for hosting this impactful session. It’s inspiring to see professionals dedicated to supporting the nonprofit sector in achieving both efficiency and impact. #Feenix #NPOLeadership #GoodGovernance #MaximizingImpact #TurningPoint #NPO #NonProfitOrganisation #DrivingImpact

A heartfelt thank you to our inspiring guest speakers who have been instrumental in empowering our Feenix students through our Beyond Boundaries Masterclass series. Feenix invited students to attend virtual masterclasses that covered essential topics from building leadership skills, navigating job applications, and acing interviews, to cultivating a growth mindset and avoiding burnout, each session was packed with invaluable insights. Students gained practical tools to lead from within, tailor their resumes for standout applications, stay resilient through challenges, and prioritize mental well-being. "What I found most valuable about the sessions was how each one provided practical tools that I could apply immediately." - Tsoelopele Cyril Qhetso, Student at Walter Sisulu University. By fostering self-awareness and encouraging supportive connections, you’ve helped students not only prepare for their careers but also thrive personally. Thank you for being a vital part of our community’s journey to success and growth pushing beyond boundaries! With thanks to; David King (he/him/his), Viwe Kobokana, Amogelang Tlhowe, Naythan Kayser, Delphino Machikicho (MCom), Gugulethu Zwane and Cayleigh Fourie. #Feenix #FeenixCommunity #FeenixMasterClass #Speakers #GuestSpeakers #BeyondBoundariesMasterClass
