In our industry, relationships matter.    No relationship, no deal.    Our head of global relations, Jon Marius Hønsi, looks back on the year:   🌍 This past year, the drift in the market dynamics towards #impact investments, has enlightened responsible global investors focusing on #climate #investments and innovative new structures on how to cater for both a financial and social return in Africa. 🌍 🌍 We are grateful for the endorsement by The Heads of State at President Emmanuel Macron’s summit in #Paris having led influential partners into discussions in how to fast track the green transition in sub-Saharan #Africa by enhancing the secondary market for sustainable energy infrastructure by participating in the Gaia Africa Climate Fund.

With the end of the year upon us, our chief impact and risk officer, Tersia Lister, reflects on the year. 🌍 In 2024, Gaia remains committed to scaling #sustainable #infrastructure across Sub-Saharan #Africa by bridging the funding gap with innovative financial solutions that are founded on core impact investing principles to enhance investment decisions for asset allocation. 🌍 🌍 This year, we focused on enhancing our impact and #ESG proprietary frameworks which embed integration of ESG and impact at every step of our investment process, streamlining operations and driving measurable outcomes. 🌍 🌍 🌍 By activating previously excluded investors, our additionality unlocks new capital streams, driving impact and creating opportunities for transformative growth.
