What an exciting day it was for our team as we were invited by Sacred Heart College in Johannesburg to host a two day workshop with their Grade 7s as part of our Money Smart Schools Financial Literacy Program, a fantastic initiative every child should experience! Through this engaging program, the Grade 7s learned essential financial concepts like Earn, Save, Spend and Give — all while having a blast! Money Management IS life management. The better you become with managing money, the easier it is to move in the direction you want to move in.

It's never too late to jump. Don't let the fear of risk stop you. This is something I see happen far too often. The paralysis people feel for fear of failing. "What happens if I fail?" "What will my family think?" "What if I get mocked for failing?" The thing is, failure is a given on the path to success. Otherwise, you will not learn a thing. I've been involved in a dozen businesses. Do you think all of them have succeeded? Of course they haven't. But I learned so much from those "failures." Don't talk yourself out of doing something amazing. Get started with these 3 steps: 1. Take baby steps. Spend 30 minutes a day on building something new. 2. Upskill yourself regularly. Don't let your current job limit your skillset. 3. Network with the people that are already doing the thing you want to do. I cannot emphasise the value of learning from the best.
