Environmental responsibility has always been very important to GfG. In the late ‘70s, the Cobra 6 portable gas detector from our popular Cobra series was used to monitor flue gas in industrial oil and gas flare plants. Some gases cannot be measured directly and instead have to be decomposed into other, measurable gases first. Our motivation has always been to provide gas detection devices that ensure people will return home safely. This is especially important for those working in industries with increased danger of gas hazards. The Seehund (“seal”) portable gas detector was used to detect methane underground from the mid-70’s.
