  • Strengthening African Collaboration at FABS 2025!   Last week, we had the incredible opportunity to be part of the Francophone Africa Business Summit (FABS 2025) in Lagos, Nigeria.    This summit was a powerful reminder that when Francophone and Anglophone Africa join forces, the possibilities for innovation and growth are limitless. From high-impact discussions to strategic business matchmaking, FABS 2025 showcased how young African entrepreneurs are leading the way in transforming industries—from energy and finance to agriculture and technology.    A big thank you to Johanna Monthé and Ololade Ajayi for their vision in creating this impactful platform! 🙌🏾 Events like FABS prove that Africa’s business landscape is evolving into a more interconnected, innovative, and borderless ecosystem.   We’re excited about the new relationships, insights, and opportunities that emerged from this summit and we look forward to shaping Africa’s sustainable energy future together. ⚡🔋   #FABS2025 #AfricanCollaboration #FutureOfAfrica

My Reflections from the World Governments Summit 2025 in Dubai. Attending the World Governments Summit in Dubai was an inspiring and thought-provoking experience. This global gathering brought together policymakers, industry leaders, and innovators to discuss the future of governance, sustainability, and economic development. Key Takeaways: ✅ The Future is Sustainable – Governments and businesses are doubling down on green energy and climate resilience. The discussions reinforced the urgency of Africa accelerating its renewable energy transition—something we at Granville Energy are deeply committed to. ✅ Public-Private Collaboration is Essential – Many speakers emphasized how partnerships between governments and private enterprises are shaping the next wave of infrastructure, technology, and energy solutions. This strengthens my belief that African solar manufacturers like Granville Energy must work closely with policymakers and financiers to scale impact. ✅ AI and the Soaring Demand for Electricity – One of the most striking discussions was the exponential rise in electricity demand due to AI advancements. Data centers, machine learning models, and automation are set to become some of the world’s largest energy consumers. This is both a challenge and an opportunity—Africa has abundant renewable resources, and the right investments could position the continent as a key energy provider in the AI-driven future. ✅ The Role of Nuclear in the Energy Mix – While solar, wind, and storage are leading the charge in renewables, nuclear energy is making a strong comeback as a reliable, carbon-free baseload option. Advances in small modular reactors (SMRs) and next-gen nuclear technologies could play a critical role in stabilizing grids, especially as energy demand surges. For Africa, where industrialization and electrification are accelerating, nuclear could complement solar and other renewables to ensure energy security. Beyond the insights, the connections made were invaluable. Engaging with investors, academics, policymakers, and industry pioneers opened doors to new partnerships that could accelerate our mission of driving Africa’s access to affordable clean energy future. A huge thank you to the speakers and exhibitors who shared their expertise, and to everyone I had the chance to connect with. Let’s continue the conversation and explore how we can drive real change in Africa’s energy sector. #WorldGovSummit #RenewableEnergy #Africa #Sustainability #GranvilleEnergy #AI #EnergyTransition #NuclearPower #PublicPrivatePartnerships
