For the Boland Cellar team, sustainability isn’t just a philosophy. It’s a commitment. Through our partnership with Greenpop’s Forests For Life Pledge Fund, a portion of proceeds from selected wines contributes directly to reforestation efforts. We’re thrilled to share that, thanks to your support, Boland has already planted 3,707 trees in 2024, with the collective pledge fund reaching an incredible 6,182 trees! Each tree plays a role in restoring ecosystems, supporting biodiversity, and securing a more sustainable future. Every bottle enjoyed is a step towards greener landscapes, and we couldn’t do it without you. Let's raise a glass of wine to our beautiful South African nature, community, and making meaningful impact. 🌱 Here's a breakdown of the Boland Pledge Fund Member contributions: Boland - 3707 trees Nuxe - 213 trees Nedbank - 762 trees TopFruit- 1050 trees Pink Lady® Apples - 450 trees Thank you, Greenpop, for leading such an important initiative! #BolandCellar #SustainabilityInEverySip #Greenpop #ForestsForLife #DrinkWinePlantTrees Greenpop Nedbank TopFruit

Meet Skyla 💚 Skyla Thornton is our new Events Coordination Intern and has been a friend of Greenpop's for quite sometime now. "My life has always been, and probably will always be, inextricably intertwined with nature. Through working with Greenpop, I hope to share the importance of restoring connection - not only with each other, but with the environment. Having just completed my honours degree in Earth Sciences, I hope to integrate my love for science with people and amplify this through intentional, holistic work. It is a privilege to assist in the creation of this year's Reforest Fest, and I am excited to embody the ethos of creating long-term impact through a collective movement." So happy to finally have you on the team, Skyla! 🌿 #Greenpop #Treevolution #OurTeam

🌱 One Tree at a Time 🌿 At Go2Africa, part of the Nawiri Group, making a positive impact is part of our ethos. That’s why we take our strategic partnerships very seriously. For years, we’ve been working hand in hand with Greenpop, an award-winning non-profit organisation dedicated to restoring ecosystems and empowering environmental custodians across Sub-Saharan Africa. Since 2010, Greenpop has planted over 200,000 trees and inspired 356,000 active citizens in South Africa, Zambia, Malawi, and Tanzania. Their mission? To reconnect people with the planet, make greening initiatives popular, and create a world where people and nature thrive together. The Living Landscapes Project: One of Greenpop’s flagship initiatives, The Living Landscapes Project, focuses on creating sustainable, green urban environments that enhance biodiversity, foster community resilience, and empower local residents. By engaging community organisations, stakeholders, and corporate groups, this project designs and installs green spaces that improve quality of life and expand the global network of environmental stewards. An example is Philippi Village, a vibrant community hub in one of Cape Town’s most under-resourced areas. This space is a beacon of hope, offering facilities for small businesses, educational programmes, and community events - all while promoting urban greening and climate resilience. How We’re Contributing: For every booking that includes a stay at one of our carefully selected Western Cape properties - like Birkenhead House, Grootbos Private Nature Reserve, or Spier Wine Farm - we fund the planting of a tree in Philippi Village through Greenpop’s reforestation programme. These luxury properties are champion advocates of community, environmental, and wildlife conservation. Our Go2Africans contribute by planting trees and plants in urban areas and increasing urban green spaces in cities through gardening and environmental education. How You Can Help: Choose one of our Positive Impact Safaris in the Western Cape. Not only will you experience the beauty of South Africa, but you’ll also directly support Greenpop’s mission to restore forests, green urban spaces, and empower communities. Together, we’re making a difference - one tree, one journey, and one traveller at a time. A big thanks to our team and partners who assisted in creating this beautiful green space in Philippi last week: Cara Killops, Kimberly Sher, Liesel van Zyl (Muller), Lezl Swart, Amy Schlesinger, Leslynne Grace, Amanda Lawrence, Ridhaa Brink CA(SA), Terri Jardine, Laura M.
