We are very excited to kick off our latest communications consultancy focused on Primary Forest Conservation for IUCN 🌳🥳 Over the next 3 months, we will create graphic content, videos, and other materials to prepare for showcasing the importance of primary forests at various conferences this year. Meet Skyla 💚 Skyla Thornton is our new Events Coordination Intern and has been a friend of Greenpop's for quite sometime now. "My life has always been, and probably will always be, inextricably intertwined with nature. Through working with Greenpop, I hope to share the importance of restoring connection - not only with each other, but with the environment. Having just completed my honours degree in Earth Sciences, I hope to integrate my love for science with people and amplify this through intentional, holistic work. 🌱 One Tree at a Time 🌿 At Go2Africa, part of the Nawiri Group, making a positive impact is part of our ethos. That’s why we take our strategic partnerships very seriously. An example is Philippi Village, a vibrant community hub in one of Cape Town’s most under-resourced areas. How We’re Contributing: For every booking that includes a stay at one of our carefully selected Western Cape properties - like Birkenhead House, Grootbos Private Nature Reserve, or Spier Wine Farm - we fund the planting of a tree in Philippi Village through Greenpop’s reforestation programme. These luxury properties are champion advocates of community, environmental, and wildlife conservation. Our Go2Africans contribute by planting trees and plants in urban areas and increasing urban green spaces in cities through gardening and environmental education.
