The Indaba Foundation existence has only been possible as a result of amazing people who feel as compelled as we do, to make our world a kinder, safer, more nurturing, more education and care oriented and inspiring place for our youngest and most vulnerable children, and the remarkable women of the global ECD sector who serve them! in this case, our friends Astrid Flück and Udo Grünhoff of the www.ilanga-foundation.org/ have been extraordinarily supportive in transforming the lives of 150 women, whose daily work impacts and uplifts almost 4,500 children, by funding multiple CoRE programs that are truly raising the educational bar in South Africa and transforming our Literacy and Numeracy standards!! Thank you Illanga!!!! #illangafoundation #empowerment #ecd #inspire #nurture #train #transform

What do more than 150 women say, when they graduate from a life-changing teacher training programme ... their lives transformed? What do they say, on behalf of more than 4 000 children in their care ... who will now receive high-quality education, nurturing and care? What do four communities in South Africa say, for the extraordinary generosity, courage and impact, delivered by the ILANGA Foundation. They say this, in their own beautiful words, with their own empowered voices. The Indaba Institute salutes our treasured friends at the ILANGA Foundation - for your vision and grace. Together, by investing in our Community-Rooted Education (CoRE) programmes, we have trained this huge number of Early Childhood Development (ECD) teachers. Enabling them to create dignified futures, for the children in their care. Together, we will change the lives of thousands more women teachers, whole classrooms of young vulnerable children, and deserving, appreciative communities - next year, and beyond! Respect!

"Work is love made visible," wrote Kahlil Gibran. And the work by our Indaba Institute team is an extraordinary exemplar of this profound life philosophy. This Workers' Day, we salute each and every one of our team, who pour their best into training Early Childhood Development teachers, across our land. With such deep personal commitment, both professionally and personally. Equally, we honour women at the coalface of ECD, in every place - who are nurturing a brighter, more dignified future, for the children in our collective care. Your work, is your love, made visible - for all to see.

What an honour! To launch our transformative Community-Rooted Education (CoRE) in yet another community: Paarl, in the Drakenstein Municipality, Paarl, Western Cape! In the next 10 months, up to 35 x courageous women Early Childhood Development (ECD) teachers will work through our CoRE Programme, with our Indaba Institute trainers, who we call our "CoRE Facilitators". To be enabled, and empowered, to develop their skills and insights ... as they nurture our youngest children of tomorrow. We hope you will follow our journey, together!
