Media Tour | Johannesburg Water is today hosting a media tour, for the Roodepoort system. This is to offer first-hand look at the intricate journey of water supply within the Roodepoort region. The tour is intended to showcase the system's operations, starting from getting bulk water supply from Rand Water, and how it moves within the system, until it reaches the resident's taps. The Roodepoort system consists of one reservoir, three towers, and three booster pump stations. It supplies water to parts of Region C, including Maraisburg, Florida, Roodekrans, Wilro Park, Helderkruin, Horizon View, and Princess. This system forms part of the Johannesburg Water’s 129 reservoirs and towers, which make up the Entity’s infrastructure assets, helping it to supply the 1.6 billion litres of potable water per day, which is procured from our bulk supplier. #KnowJW #WeServeJoburg
