I had the honour of participating in a panel discussion at the Nedbank Green Economy Indaba conference yesterday, where we delved deep into the critical topic of energy and its pivotal role in driving sustainability across our economy. It was a fantastic opportunity to engage with fellow thought leaders, and explore innovative solutions that can help us transition towards a more sustainable energy future. I am inspired by such initiatives, as they aim to address the challenges and the potential to create a positive impact. Thank you Nedbank, it was an honour and great experience.

Today, I felt like reflecting on my journey and I'm continually reminded that true leadership goes beyond personal achievements—it's about the impact we make on the lives of others. My ultimate goal resonates deeply with me: to leave a lasting legacy of empowerment and educational excellence. "I want to be remembered not just for what I achieved academically or professionally, but for the impact I made on the lives of others." This vision drives me to challenge the status quo and inspire those around me. I still have a long way to go though.

To every woman facing breast cancer today: you are not defined by this disease. You are defined by your courage, your strength, and your endless capacity to fight. This month, and every month, we stand with you, sending love, support, and a promise to never stop fighting until breast cancer is defeated.

The story of women's progress is one of resilience and determination. From the suffragettes to the present day, women have fought for their rights and paved the way for future generations. Today and every day we celebrate their achievements and continue the journey towards women empowerment. Happy Women's Day! #EmpoweHer

...Our Journey Continues... Last week I shared about our skills development programme (REfSED), through which we have to date trained 216 candidates. When crafting the programme, the question of "Then What" was very key because we live in a world where you need to have employment experience even for the basic entry level positions. This led to the creation of the Green Economy Skills Placement (GE-SP) programme. After successfully completing the REfSED skills development programme, the KP Cares team dedicates themselves to ensuring that the candidates are placed in a proper working environment. The programme is delivered in partnership with Industry Partners as the host companies. To date, 40 candidates have been successfully placed with host companies. And we have recently confirmed, with our partners, a 50% permanent absorption. We still have over a 150 candidates to place. Host companies are willing and we want to invite sponsors to partner with us in ensuring that we make a difference in the lives of our youth and the ever increasing unemployment rate. #skillsdevelopment #youthempowerment #greeneconomyskills
