Celebrating a Milestone and Expressing Heartfelt Gratitude 🙏 Today was a day of reflection and gratitude as my family and I visited Lenmed Ethekwini Hospital & Heart Centre for my son’s cardiology checkup. My son underwent open-heart surgery when he was just 9 months old (He is now 3.5 Years Old). It was one of the most challenging times of our lives as a family, but through it all, the incredible team at EThekwini Heart Hospital was there to guide us, care for us, and give our son the best chance. Under the remarkable care of DR. Yavini Reddy, my son has now been seizure-free for a year and a half. His incredible cardiologist Dr Himal Dama was equally happy with his progress today—while there are still leaks, they are manageable, allowing him to live a full, vibrant life. The best part? We’ve graduated to yearly checkups! 👏 I wanted to post this on LinkedIn to acknowledge the Hospital and the entire team at EThekwini Heart Hospital: from the world-class doctors and nurses to the dedicated support staff, Receptionists and even including the cleaners who keep the environment pristine. Also, very importantly, our boys Paed's Cardiac surgeon: Darshan Reddy, who has some mad skills - we so appreciate the care and precise brilliance he took when working on our boy's heart. Lastly his amazing Paed, Dr. Vinesh Moodley - who is one of the most brilliant Paeds on this earth! Each individual plays a role in making this one of the best hospitals in South Africa. Words cannot express how grateful I am for the care, compassion, and expertise that have helped us navigate this journey. Knowing that my son was and is in the hands of such capable and empathetic professionals made all the difference. To the amazing team at EThekwini Heart Hospital: thank you for giving my son the chance to live his best life. You’ve not only impacted his journey but have also left an indelible mark on our family. For any family navigating a similar road, take heart—there is hope in the hands of experts like these. We are so grateful for the gift of health and for the people who make it possible. Including all those that are in the field, from those studying and innovating new medical technologies and medical research, you are all heroes in my eyes! #Gratitude #HealthcareHeroes #EThekwiniHeartHospital #PediatricCare #Milestones
