Too often, traditional funding models shut out promising #SouthAfrican businesses. Our investment in Linea Capital aims to break that cycle. Their flexible Revenue-Based Financing (RBF) empowers Small and Growing Businesses (SGBs) to retain ownership, manage cash flow, and unlock growth potential. This US$1 million investment is a catalyst for change, fuelling a more robust #SGB sector that benefits the entire #SouthAfrican economy. 🔗 Read more about our commitment and this exciting collaboration: https://lnkd.in/dYewjjr6 -- Anne-Marie Chidzero, Julia Price, Zee de Gersigny, Colin Hundermark, Stephen K. Delighted to have you on our team for the next few weeks Sotaro Hotta, and a huge thank you to #ProjectAspire for connecting us with the very best graduates from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, bringing their expertise and skill to progress #innovativefinance in Africa. Linea Capital
I am happy to share that I am starting an internship at Linea Capital, partnered with USAID and domiciled in South Africa, aiming to provide growth capital to entrepreneurial businesses to drive revenue and job creation. This opportunity to be a member of a social-oriented fund is undoubtedly precious for me since I have always been in an advisory role rather than being directly involved in analysing deals and formulating business strategies. They deal with catalytic capital, including the use of blended finance schemes, in which I have a strong interest. Also, their "pay as you grow" innovative funding model to invest non-dilutive capital in growth companies can be a hint to increase and enrich options for Japanese social entrepreneurs as well. I am excited to apply my legal expertise and analytical skills to contribute to the success of Linea Capital's investments, and I look forward to learning from the skilled professionals at the fund, enhancing my understanding of private equity, and developing a deeper insight into the financing schemes in the social entrepreneurial context.
