In a challenging drilling environment, a single rare earth magnetic final drive plug from AIT and OEI demonstrated remarkable economic value. Strategically installed to capture ferrous contamination, this innovative filtration solution prevented a potential final drive failure, saving the machine owner tens of thousands of dollars. Priced at less than two cartons of 4XXX, this plug represented one of the most prudent investments made in 2024. Building on this success, our technical team is now collaborating with the client to implement a comprehensive rare earth magnetic filtration strategy across their extensive Australian fleet. The rollout encompasses critical systems, including hydraulic circuits, diesel fuel injector protection, and engine oil filtration. Rare earth magnetic filtration represents a quantum leap in fluid protection technology. While conventional membrane filters typically capture particles above 10 microns, these advanced magnetic filters extract sub-micron particulates responsible for the most insidious equipment damage. By capturing microscopic contaminants in both rolling and sliding surfaces, these filters provide unprecedented protection for critical mechanical components, ultimately extending equipment life and reducing maintenance costs.

The closest star to Earth is our very own Sun, at around 93,000,000 miles away (150,000,000 km). But what about beyond the Sun? The next closest star, Proxima Centauri, would be around 25,300,000,000,000 miles (39,900,000,000,000 kilometers) away – demonstrating how vast the expanse of our universe really is. Mind = blown 🤯
