A World AIDS Day event was held at Zibi Meyer Community Centre in the Matatiele Sub-District, Alfred Nzo District, under the theme "Equal Rights, Equal Care." MatCH, supported by USAID/PEPFAR through the "Achieving and Sustaining HIV/TB Epidemic Control in the Eastern Cape Province – Integrated Service Delivery Response" project, provided essential services, including HIV testing, ART initiation, PrEP, sexual and reproductive health services, mental health screening, and mobile health services. KwaZulu-Natal commemorated World AIDS Day under the theme "Equal Rights, Equal Care" at Mzingazi Ward 1 Sports Ground, King Cetshwayo District, with the launch of the Provincial Implementation Plan (2023–2028). Supported by USAID/PEPFAR under the "Achieving and Sustaining HIV/TB Epidemic Control in KwaZulu-Natal" project, MatCH joined government departments, civil society, and partners in providing services such as HTS, TB screening, PrEP, and psychosocial support. MatCH collaborated with Right to Care to provide healthcare services to men in the month of November at Eshowe taxi rank, King Cetshwayo District. The priority focus was on men’s health, accompanied by information and awareness on testicular, prostate, and mental health. The 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children will take place from 25 November to 10 December 2024, with the theme: “30 Years of Working Together to End Violence Against Women and Children.” This year, the campaign focuses on addressing the main causes of violence against women and children, promoting healthy and respectful ideas of masculinity, encouraging gender equality, and creating job opportunities for women and children. #MatCHInstitute #16DaysOfActivism #EndGBVF

As part of the World AIDS Day build-up, MatCH, supported by USAID/PEPFAR under the "Achieving and Sustaining HIV/TB Epidemic Control in the KwaZulu Natal Province" project, hosted a community mobilization event at Masinenge Informal Settlement. MatCH launched a dedicated Men's Health Campaign in the Ugu District to raise awareness about HIV and AIDS, focusing on prevention, testing, and treatment. Supported by USAID/PEPFAR under the "Achieving and Sustaining HIV/TB Epidemic Control in the KwaZulu Natal Province" project, the campaign aims to dismantle stigma, promote regular testing, and encourage men to take charge of their health by accessing available treatments and preventive measures such as antiretroviral therapy (ART) and pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP). #MatCHInstitute #MensHealth

With support from USAID/PEPFAR under the "Achieving and Sustaining HIV/TB Epidemic Control in the Eastern Cape Province – Integrated Service Delivery Response” project, MatCH partnered with Maluti Clinic in the Alfred Nzo District to launch the Zikhala Kanjani initiative. The programme provided a range of services, including HIV testing, ART and PrEP initiation, TB and STI screening, family planning, and cervical screening. #MatCHInstitute #ZikhalaKanjani 

The Zikhala Kanjani HIV Prevention Strategy was launched in 2022 to reduce new HIV infections among young people aged 12 to 24 by providing access to essential health services, including Sexual and Reproductive Health, PrEP, ART, U=U, GBV support, substance abuse treatment, and mental health services. MatCH, with USAID/PEPFAR support under the "Achieving and Sustaining HIV/TB Epidemic Control in the Eastern Cape Province" project, partnered with Mt Ayliff Gateway Clinic and launched Zikhala Kanjani and offered services like HIV testing, ART and PrEP initiation, TB and STI screening, family planning, and cervical screening. #MatCHInstitute #ZikhalaKanjani
