The MICT SETA urges all prospective students to remain vigilant and cautious of bogus colleges offering unrecognised certificates and qualifications. We encourage students to verify the authenticity of institutions and the programmes/qualifications which they offer by ensuring that they are registered and accredited with the following bodies: • The Department of Higher Education and Training. • South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) • The Council on Higher Education (CHE) and/or the Sector Education and Training Authority (SETA) • The Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO). • Umalusi and The Department of Basic Education (DBE)

Important Update on Mandatory Grant Payments The MICT SETA wishes to inform its Stakeholders of the ongoing challenges with the Skills Development Levy Information System (SDLIS). The Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) has officially communicated these challenges to all SETA's. Unfortunately, this affects our ability to process December 2024 Mandatory Grant payments to eligible employers for Quarter 3. We are awaiting updates from DHET on their resolution plans.
