Rebels work on issues that affect all our futures. From climate, transit & urban, to healthcare & the social sector.

About us

Rebels work on the issues that affect all our futures. From the world of sustainability, transportation and urban development to healthcare and the social sector. Rebels pioneered the early PPP markets of continental Europe. Today we work across a broad range of geographies and sectors. We make a positive impact, not only as consultants but also as investors. After all, anyone who believes in their own advice should be prepared to invest in it. We are committed to bringing about change, initiating and realizing our own projects. We partner up to develop public-private partnerships (PPPs), innovative financing arrangements, project delivery strategies, as well as procurement and transaction advisory processes. In addition, we offer strategic advice, business analysis, partnership consulting, financial advice, and the management of investments. We also provide in-company training in the field of financial-economic issues. Growth is not our goal. But we certainly have grown. We go where we are most needed, where we can achieve the most positive impact. We invite you to join in, to become part of the change. Let’s think beyond existing structures. As governments, as companies, and as individuals.

𝗖𝗢𝗣𝟮𝟵: 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 From 11th to 22nd November, COP29 Azerbaijan—known as the "Finance COP"—is focusing on scalable solutions to create a more sustainable world. At Rebel we are proud to align our work with the key themes of COP29. One of our impactful projects, Oxfam climate finance, had our team support Oxfam develop strategies for resource mobilization. Learn more about this project here: https://lnkd.in/dByFHnCj As COP29 wraps up, one thing is clear: building a sustainable future requires partnerships, innovation, and shared commitment. Together, we can make sustainability more than just a goal— it can be our way of life. 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁𝘀 (𝗥𝗘𝗜𝗧𝘀) have been identified as a potential solution to Africa's challenges in mobilising domestic capital for urban development, with a specific focus on affordable housing. We at Rebel see a huge potential in extending our work in urban development, housing and real estate in South Africa and on the continent and we are glad to have re-engaged partners and clients. However, these networks face increasing risk from natural hazards, making resilience a top priority. By assessing these vulnerabilities and designing more resilient projects, we can enhance the safety and reliability of our roadways.   Last year, Rebels Allan Naibei, FMVA® and Rob Winters conducted a Climate risk assessment for road upgrading project in Kenya. Here is what they achieved: https://lnkd.in/dAZ9RY-9 Rebel - No Change Without a Rebel #ThrowbackThursday #ClimateRiskAssessment #RoadSafety #Africa

Townships are complex urban geographies that comprise the ‘majority world’ of South African cities. These spaces are both richly generative and face immense and mounting pressures, requiring an inventive and transformative development agenda. Over the last five years, an interdisciplinary team of scientists, economists, urbanists, engineers, environmentalists, and safety specialists has supported the five municipalities in formulating and implementing TED strategies. In this role, the technical support team has accumulated important insights into the nuances of township economic development processes. These insights challenge our language, methods, and thinking around how best to advance the goal of area-based economic development and transformation. Our Rebel Andreas Bertoldi facilitated the Solution Lab process synthesising the respective Lab outcomes in a ‘takeaway’ message to conclude the learning process. The day focused on strengthening municipal / government capabilities for TED. #TEDLearningEvent #TownshipDevelopment #InclusiveEconomy #MunicipalCapabilities #EconomicGrowth #NoChangeWithoutaRebel

  • This week at the 𝗦𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗠𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗔𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮 (𝗦𝗠𝗔) Summit in Johannesburg, our Rebel Guillaume Rémy, also a member of the Zeroca team, participated in a panel discussion on "𝑈𝑠𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝐶𝑎𝑟𝑏𝑜𝑛 𝐶𝑟𝑒𝑑𝑖𝑡𝑠 𝑡𝑜 𝑅𝑒𝑑𝑢𝑐𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑂𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑎𝑙𝑙 𝐶𝑜𝑠𝑡 𝑜𝑓 𝐹𝑢𝑛𝑑𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝐹𝑙𝑒𝑒𝑡𝑠 𝑡𝑜 𝐺𝑜 𝐸𝑙𝑒𝑐𝑡𝑟𝑖𝑐." We noticed a positive shift toward growing the market for new energy vehicles and electrifying existing fleets at the event. Carbon credit schemes can serve as a key enabler for investment in electric mobility. We can make meaningful progress by aggregating significant fleets, particularly in emerging markets like South Africa. For Rebel, this is a crucial topic. We operate at the intersection of the public and private sectors, helping to navigate the transition to electrification in both emerging and developed markets. #SMAsummit #ElectrifyingFleets #CarbonCredits #NoChangeWithoutaRebel
